Pretty much, yeah. Huddlestone sitting deep with Quinn in the advanced role. It's an interesting shift from 3 at the back with wing backs and I never had old cushion face down as someone who was in with the vogue systems of football. Still, you live and learn. I think it's lent itself to being such an open game. They look decent going forward but because all the width is provided by their full backs they're very exposed at the back.

Both seem to have done some decent business.

Jaw drops after seeing that Valencia goal.
Him and Hernandez both looked good.

Both seem to have done some decent business. At a big cost. I'd be interested to know how much they've spent. Big wages and fees.

Fair play to West Ham. Can't believe that was an Allardyce team! They were absolutely outstanding to watch bombing forward with genuine flair players. Playing with no target man either Zarate and Valencia well below 6ft. Fair play to big Sam clearly trying to change his style. Valencia looked a really exciting player.

I have it on good authority that Pulis sold Sam that dossier.

They've paid the going rate - we seem to have been crowing about how little we spent while a lot of teams around us have bitten the bullet and spent. Only time will tell which is the better strategy.

There's a bit of me wishes we could have made one marquee signing like a Yarmalenko.

Big mistake IMHO. Not making a marquee signing. Got to be totally honest with what I've seen up to now, I don't think we are going to do as well as last season! Hope I'm wrong like!

Tbf west ham normally play hoofball bit like old pulis. Agreed but so far this season we've been decent without getting the results. Can't wait for Carroll and Nolans return I really enjoyed the game and the other half was content with the result. Thought they scored their second against the run of play and the equaliser, as scrappy as it was, was fully deserved. Felt Reid was shakier than usual but impressed by most of young Cresswell's play. To have options on the bench like Song and Amalfitano suggests the Hammers will get it more right than wrong this season.

Maybe they have concluded the record TV revenues are there to be spent CS? I've always been a bit confused about our supporters celebration about our race to the bottom of the expenditure table to be honest.

I've always been a bit confused about our supporters celebration about our race to the bottom of the expenditure table to be honest. It stems from the last manager wasting so much money. Whilst i subscribe to that I also think there is a real need to invest good money in quality, young players. Failure to do that long term will only end one way.
