With Arnie - -yep he took time to find his feet but - from minute one, I reckon he showed he had about 10 light years more talent in his big toe than about half our entire squad for the last 25 years
I remember very, very early on he pulled a pass down flying into touch at an impossible angle from a impossible height instant control and moved off - you could see at that moment, we had someone special
just so much talent - its frightening
its application he struggles with - and attention deficit
its what makes him so compelling to watch I find
definitely --- our very own Ballotelli

This ones special - not many we've had world class - I believe this lad could well be
last one we had in the same vein - Hoekstra - but unfortunately, he was a 'wounded bird' with it

I expressed my views on Arnie which looked to be correct up until last Feb and I take flak of know it all posters to this day.
A swallow doesn't make a summer. Arnie and Diouf still have plenty to prove

Arnie and Diouf still have plenty to prove I've just finished watching last season's goals and highlights compilation. Despite the fact that Arnie apparently didn't get going until February, he was at the heart of a significant amount of the good stuff we produced during the entire season.

we can at least agree on that - it was interesting to hear how Arnie Admitted last season when odemwingie arrived, he saw his (Odies) work ethic and, how much effort he himself really needed to put in to be as good as he could be

You're entitled to your opinion, I was very unconvinced with him and the team as a whole in the early part of the season. Performances such as Norwich WBA Southampton and Cardiff at home had me worried and I felt Arnies showboating wasn't helping our cause. When we turned it around I held my hands up, however what I class as three months in good form doesn't give him a free pass, he's started this season like he started the last and needs to buck his ideas up.

I not sure what it is with arnie, he has the ability to play at the very top yet seems a little like kenwyne. I hope it is just a confidence thing but i think he is going to let everyone down. The arrivals of assaidi and moses may have a positive impact and get his season going but so far i find him a lazy.

The funny thing about this thread is that when it was first started i had a feeling that Arnautovic wouldn't start and that he also may not even get on the pitch.
I didn't say owt because it's that jinx thing y'know, steer clear of the jinx is what i say. But this thread jinxed the guy anyway so everything's gone for a Burton.

Rumour outside the ground today was that Arnie had lost it in training yesterday.Maybe explain why he wasn't in the team today?

There was a guy on P&G saying he didn't look at all arsed during half time, looking at his stroppy best. Something's not quite right.
Oh god he's been training in his flip flops hasn't he.

I know Wilson struggled with it at times today, but I reckon I could have played centre half against their forwards today! Arnie or Assaidi should have been on from the start as, most likely, should have Adam.

Arnie or Assaidi should have been on from the start as, most likely, should have Adam. Agree Dave! Leicester were awful first half and yet we did not make our domination of the game count. No Wingy and Adam for goals, nor Arnie or Ossie for creativity, too much reliance on Moses to produce given Bojan was off the pace and Walters was, well, just Walters. Once they'd changed it at half time, we should have thrown Ossie and Arnie on for Bojan and Walters, moving Moses behind Crouch, and really gone for it. I'd even have been tempted to bring on Adam for Whelan once we'd gone a goal down, yet we just plodded on passing the ball in front of them. I worry as to why Arnie was not used, again, and that he has somehow pissed on Hughes' chips. I hope not as we so missed his idiosyncratic, enigmatic brilliance.

Like most Stokies I thought Arnie had a poor start to the season and I was fully behind Hughes' decision to drop him to the bench. But after the first half yesterday I'd have brought Arnie on at half time in place of Walters and started the second half with Moses on the right and Arnie on the left. I assume Arnie was fit as he was in the squad so I can't see any reason at all why he wasn't brought on. He's inconsistent but he is far and away the most inventive player we have and he has decent pace off the mark. The game was calling out for pace and invention on BOTH wings and Arnie and Moses would have supplied it.

His performance at hull was shocking. It was that bad the sky commentators were even laughing a couple of times. I would go as far to say it was up there with one of the most laughable and worse individual perfomances in terms of every attempted pass going 10 yards off course I've seen in the premier league.
He's either great or as above. He needs to show in training he's got his game head back on before starting again.

But, as I said above, I can't see why he didn't come on in the second half - and by all accounts he had a good international break. To my mind there was no good reason not to bring him on. If Hughes has lost all faith in him he shouldn't have been in the squad.

Does anybody know if Hughes has a problem with Arni beyond his performance....perhaps a displinary affair?
