Little bit of trivia here, over the last 20 years I think (may have been 15 or 30, but hey) in the table of the most 'efficient' managers (can't remember their definition of efficient) Lou for his time at stoke was 8th! Kiddie fiddler Gradi was 2nd.
You're all expectin me to say Ferguson 1st but he was way down in 16th! Again can't remember who was 1st but he was really obscure - think he was at watford or walsall or summat like that.

Unfortunately not, it was in a lecture earlier on the economics of sport. The lecturer has done research into managerial efficiencies taking into account improvement on the pitch, motivation and transfer dealings (which is why i guess ferguson isn't quite so high - Veron, Forlan to name 2).
I'll contact him and see where I can get a copy. It is interesting reading tho.
