I didn't see the Villa game, just highlights, but I got the impression it was far worse than today. We battered them today, most games like that we won't fail to score at least 2, surely?

It's good to see some decent trolling return. I might just pop over to their board and ask them what they're going to do with their new arse hole after Saturday. Something tells me them boys wont struggle to find out what to do with a new arsehole It's a good job you seem to know what to do with one! Edit: In fairness, you dominated the first half, but were wasteful. You should have got a result, but didn't take your chances. That's football. On another day you could have won by three. It was clear Pearson had his tactics totally wrong in the first half, but he made some smart changes.

knew we'd lose. we are the softest team to play against for the newly promoted teams, time and time again.

PMSL how the fuck did we loose that against that shower of shit. ..because we are not that good ourselves. As someone mentioned earlier, Hughes does not know his best team yet. 24 attempts at goal is just papering over the cracks if you think that is indicative of superiority. For the most part I thought Leicester looked comfortable.

Zero off the ball movement. Yet again. Fucking ridiculous. I agree. I think our general build up play is laboured..no urgency to get into the box.

I think we played well. Assaidi looked good in his few minutes. Taking Bojan out for Diouf lost us all possession in the middle attacking end. I'd like to see Assaidi and Bojan on the field at the same time.
If Crouch puts in a header and Moses seals it at the end we walk away talking about how well we played and dominated the game. This was just a result based on the variance of the Premier League. Let's take it on the chin and move on. We're a decent squad.

I'm not blaming Walters but we cant play him on the RW against teams like Leicester at home. Needed more creativity and pace on the pitch. Hate losing at home, we're losing that 'hard place to go' tag!

Fucking atrocious. Leicester are absolutely shocking and how we didn't beat them is beyond me. How much possession and pressure can we have and put on a team without creating any meaningful chances. We are absolutely clueless when teams come and put 11 men behind the ball. I've never seen us dominate a game so much and not win.

We got done, sat back, brought on Cambiasso for the second half and he controlled it from there, add to that poor decision making in front of goal and its not hard to see how we lost, we just can't break teams down well enough.

Bang on. We seriously need players to nut up and go at them when they are pegged back. I hope hughes sees this. The passing around the 18 yard box from wing to wing is wank.

I think you are over-reacting: it's going to happen again, and again - as it does for every team.
Leicester weren't absolutely shocking today, although we didn't play as well as we did in our previous three games. Stoke were as good as I expected them to be (other than the finishing) but you seem to ignore the fact that in Morgan and Moore we had two superb defenders, and in Hammond, King, Cambiasso and Drinkwater we had excellent midfield players. And the way that Ulloa took that goal was brilliant - especially as it was a much harder chance to convert than several that Stoke's players had.
If possession and pressure were all that counted, that was Stoke's game. But goals are what counts, and we got one more than you. Deal with it.

Oh I'm not denying that. I'm more angry at Stoke and the management than anything because we should have learnt our lesson from the Villa game. Why we didn't play two wingers is beyond me. But there you go. Enjoy the win.

It was just one of those days. I said after half an hour that I feared them pinching a goal and then parking up which is what turned out. If it was a boxing match it would have been stopped at half time.
That's football for you

Thing is, we've been on both sides of the result today. When we first came up, we played like Leicester did today got results and went away happy. Five years in, we realised that survival football was not enough to make progress and now we are trying to make progress to the next level. However, we have been here now for long enough to know that Leicester may indeed struggle longer term with their football style, and they will be in or around the relegation positions come May. If needs be we can play survival football and play it infinitely better than Leicester, but we are trying to get ahead with our football quality and our style is trying to advance. Leicester, however don't have this experience and seem to have only the one style of approach to the game, same as us in our 1st year. The question is, do Leicester have the resilience that we had to survive and can they become one of the handful of teams that actually stay up in their first year? I don't have the answer to that, they rode their luck, they got the result, but are they strong enough, good enough or resilient enough to see it through? I am not too sure. www.flamingosky.com

If we play like that every game, the goals will come and the points will come, we were outstoked.

I am not too sure. www.flamingosky.comI am biased, of course, but I'd say the answer to that is definitely yes. The Championship is a tough league, and the competition to get out of it is very intense. However, the jump from there to the Premier League is huge - probably much bigger than it was when Stoke came up (and I'd think it was difficult enough then).
We've relatively few players with Premier League experience, and a lot of young players as well, but in our first three games played teams from last season's top-five and we played well in each match. We could have beaten both Everton and Arsenal (and on balance I think we deserved to beat Everton) and we more than matched Chelsea for over an hour. We've made some good signings in the summer, but not gone mad, and I think our squad will mature over this season. Most importantly, in Nigel Pearson we have one of the best managers around, and he has established an excellent management team. We'll be fine.
Enjoy the rest of the season and see you in January.

Fair play to you, you seem sound enough! Think you're being a little ambitious but I watched you against Chelsea and in the first half I thought you looked highly impressive! Not entirely sure you currently have the squad to stay up but if you add to it in January then you certainly can, nothing against Leicester even if there are a few cunts over on foxestalk! Enjoy your season too pal hopefully we will get our revenge!

Now the dust has settled I'm concluding Stoke were basically unlucky on Saturday.
It was payback time. The lucky breaks we got against Hull (incorrect throw in) and ManC (poor goal keeping) - I'm not taking anything away from the goal scorers - were paid back today with all shots failing to score and a goal keeper getting lucky.
There was some mistakes and lethargy by players on international duty the previous week; hopefully everyone will be fresh and fit for QPR.

Probably the same number/ratio as there are on The Oatcake or any other forum, come to that. But most people on Foxestalk are pretty sound, as are most people on here, I think.
Whoever wins it, the Leicester v Stoke in January will be interesting, because by then we'll both have a better idea of how our teams are performing overall. The slightly iffy wins/losses will tend to have evened themselves out, and (certainly from our perspective) we'll be able to judge whether our young players are maturing into real Premier League players. Like Leicester fans, I've been more excited about this season than any other in the previous 20 years: I've not been disappointed so far, but there's plenty of time!
