We need a big performance from the lads to build on the great win at Manchester City.
I'd go with
Begovic Bardsley Shawcross Wilson Pieters Whelan N'Zonzi Moses Diouf Arnautovic Crouch
If we play with tempo I would hope for a 2 - 0 victory with Diouf hopefully getting a goal to further build his confidence, come on you mighty potters!

I'm sure we won't take Leicester or any team lightly this season but surely this is a game we must be looking to win.

I'm not convinced Diouf will start given he is playing tonight in the ACON qualifiers. I think he'll be on the bench. I'd start with Bojan and Crouch - that pairing deserves a chance to show what it looks like.
Other than that, I'd go with the OP's team selection.

From what I've seen so far Leicester have looked decent enough. I agree with Lightwoods side. I think Crouch deserves to start. Brilliant at Man City. He gives us a focus in attack. We need to get hold of the ball further up the field and keep hold of it. Diouf will then have options to run beyond and find the gaps that Moses and Arnie will hopefully exploit. My team...
Begovic
Bardo Pieters Shawcross Wilson
N'Zonzi Whelan
Arnie Diouf Moses
Crouch
Hopefully Arnie will get his fat arse kicked in to gear as well. Never mind Champ League aspirations get it going for Stoke.

Begovic Bardsley Shawcross Huth Muniesa Whelan Adam Moses Bojan Arnautovic Crouch
Id like to see this as a horses4courses approach.
Notice I drop Nzonzi because we dont need his workrate to dominate midfield. Prefer to have Adam there to create for the players in front of him. Also a chance to bring Muniesa into the team as he is better attacking than Pieters

Adam is better coming off the bench when the pace of the game has slowed up.

If Walters is fit I wouldn't be surprised if he omitted Arnautovic and played Moses on the left with Walters playing down the right side.

BEGOVIC BARDSLEY WILSON SHAWCROSS PIETERS WHELAN NZONZI ARNIE MOSES BOJAN CROUCH BENCH: SORRO HUTH DIOUF ASSAIDI ADAM MUNIESA WALTERS I'd give Diouf a rest after his mid week games. Plus his pace could come in handy second half. Crouchy deserves a chance to start anyway to so it's a win-win. The defence can't change after last weeks showing either, and neither can the sitting midfield of Zonz and Whelan. I'd bring Arnie in for Walters because I feel we can really go at these pace, unlike the man city match where we perhaps needed the work and tenacity over creation. Plus Arnie needs a bit of a boost, and I hear their right back is a weakness. I'm going to say Stoke 2-0 Leicester, Moses with a first half goal and Charlie off the bench.

Not sure what team Hughes will play. Any sort of win would push us right up the table some more.

i'd go with Crouch up top, I think Leicester will come and set up to defend so it would be nice to see Stoke mix it up a bit and don't be afraid to go long, as we saw against Hull & Villa we aren't too great at breaking down defensive set ups

Really nervous about this game.
Would be a very welcome victory, however Leicester will probably come and do a Villa and an us from last week.
So far we have not been able to break teams down and if we don't get an early goal here, I think we will struggle.
I am going for 0-0.

Hughes needs to earn his corn and learn from the Villa/Hull games. We are going to have a lot of possession in these games at home so we need to know how to play effectively rather than just pass it round at the back.
Thats why I would back Adam & Crouch to start

That makes us about as good as a league one team . Don't be daft, we'll win this one easily or we'll be struggling against relegation. They don't have one top player in their team.

Muniesa deserves a spot in the side too, as well as Bojan (to rest Diouf) 1-0 Stoke for this one - Crouch with a header

I wish I had your confidence Bexhill. I just think it will be a carbon copy of the Villa game, with us unable to break them down. The early goal is key, if we can get something within the first 30 mins I think we will be fine, if not we could struggle.

From my perspective it'll be interesting. If we score early, they will have to open up a bit and we do have god quality in crucial areas of the pitch. Would like to see Arnie, Bojan & Moses in that hole, and possibly crouch to move the ball and get behind their back line.
They are a well drilled and confident bunch. I think it will be hard, but if we score early, I see only one winner.
2-0 Stoke
Bego
Bardslet - Shawcross - Wilson - Pieters
Nzonzi - Whelan
Arnie - Bojan - Moses
Crouch

Just imagine what Man City were thinking before last week. No such thing as an easy one. Leicester are still full of confidence, play together and have a couple of very descent players. All games make me nervous, this one is no different. I'd go 2-1 to us though, but if we are really on song we could give them a good beating, you just never know.

We always play 4-4-2, with Nugent dropping slightly deeper. Pearson almost never changes a successful team, so it's quite likely that it will be a similar team to the one that played Arsenal. We're a team full of confidence at the moment, so it wont be easy for you. Mahrez and Ulloa will be the biggest threats for you. We're also a side that has pace to burn (Schlupp, De laet, Mahrez and Vardy if he plays are all rapid), so you may get hit on the counter a lot, if you come at us. However, finishing isn't our strong point. gfycat.com/UnlinedDamagedBlackcrappie

I've read on your forums about our lack of pace at the back - Shawcross covers the ground really well and doesn't get the credit he deserves on the pace front. I agree that our two full backs can be exposed at times but I would equally add that your defensive full backs will be in for a test.

No disrepect intended but you have an average Championship squad with a few aditions that hold no fear for me and as for "pace" you have do you think we have none because if you do you're clearly uninformed.

Our CB's are solid, but our weakness is certainly our full-backs. He's been solid so far, but I don't have much faith in Konchesky, and De Laet has struggled at times in this league. If you're going to catch us out, it's probably going to be by exploiting our fullbacks.

Should be a good game if Leicester dont come to park the bus, which it sounds like they are confident of a win. That is actually our best chance to win the game if its open.

The majority of their players may be those that played in the championship but to describe a team that really were head and shoulders above the others last season as "average" cannot be right. No game is easy and our track record against similar opposition isn't watertight. Tough game - good test for both teams actually. If we play to our potential we should win but it's foolish to dismiss Leicester's chances.

I've read comments on both MB's about the match and naturally you guys think that this it's a winnable game as do we. During our relatively short spell back in the top division we've quickly realised that there is no 'easy' game and football can be very unpredictable. That said our home form last season was the best out of the top 5 and has been pretty impressive in previous seasons. Losing at home to Villa in our last home game could be a blessing as Hughes will expect a better performance all round. Good luck with the season and a safe journey if you're attending the game but I hope you leave the potteries empty handed

No disrepect intended but you have an average Championship squad with a few aditions that hold no fear for me and as for "pace" you have do you think we have none because if you do you're clearly uninformed. With all due respect, I think I've watched a lot more of Stoke play than you will have seen of Leicester. "Average Championship squad" is a bit misleading; no team has ever earned this many points in the championship and gone straight back down next season. Some of our team I'd say are not really premiership standard (Nugent, Schlupp, Konchesky and possibly De Laet), however some of our players are fantastic. However, I doubt you'd actually know this, because they're not "big names" - most people have no idea how good Drinkwater, James, Mahrez, Vardy or Moore are, because they're either foreign, or young and haven't been around for long. They just look at the team list and think "lol their best player is Nugent" - when that couldn't be further from the truth. I also never said you don't have pace, I'm well aware of your players. However, I would put money on us being one of the fastest teams in the league. We may lack quality in certain departments, but I'd put money on us being one of the fastest teams in the league, as Arsenal found out when De Laet left Sanchez for dead last week. Pace alone might not win us this game, but it's always going to be a threat if you're going to come at us in numbers. I've said before, a point would be a good result for us - the Britannia is always a tough place to go, and like us, your team are on a high right now. However, I think it's going to be a tight game.
