What is your all-time ultimate Stoke City team. It can only be the players that you witnessed play in Stoke City colours and you can only submit one team... Good Luck BigEd

Could be any of the Stoke Teams of the early 70s for me. If I have to pick just one then it will be the one of Hudson's first spell 1974/5.
My dad reckoned we were pants once we got rid of Franklin but that's a bit before my time. Although that team with him and two other current England Internationals would have given the early 70s team a run for their money.

Bloody hell, how many times have we done this now....this messageboard is going downhill already, I'll be off soon! ;D For the record: Marshall J. Kavanagh Petty Williams Nyamah Wilson Oldfield Risom McMahon Scott Stewart Pricey, no. Swap your midfield round with McMahon on the right, Wilson and Risom in the middle and Oldfield tucked in on the left. McMahon was right footed, his pin-point crossing accuracy on the right is needed to provide ammo for Keith Scott to do some lethal bullet headers. Oldfield and Wilson breaking up attacks in midfield - both ideal ballwinners for our Danish International playmaker. A hoof it leader in Williams alongside a ball player like Petty and two overlapping full backs who can also play in midfield, good combination. The Scottish International goalkeeper and the veteran former England striker up front is the icing on the cake.

My faith in this messageboard is restored.
Just how many goals would that defence concede in a season of Division 2 football.....80? 100? 120?

Never heard of most of them, but Steve Woods is a good player if that's who "Woods" is.

Yeah it's Steve Woods. He's playing at his level with Torquay now. He isn't and never was a " good" player.
