I recently received a letter from E-ON saying that they may have mislead/missold me a worse dual fuel tariff than was available at the time that I took out the contract with them, they gave me a number to ring to enquire if this was the case. When I phoned a very pleasant young lady asked me if I had been made aware that better deals were available when I signed up with them, to which I said "no". She then said she would send me a cheque for £178 straight away, I was on the phone for less than 3 minutes.
Now E-On obviously knew that I was entitled to this refund, as they have been hauled over the coals by Offgem, or whoever it is that regulates the power suppliers, but I reckon if I hadn't have made the call they would have kept the money. So if any of you are in the same position and have had E-On as your fuel provider for anytime recently give them a call, it's your money not their's the robbing twats.

Yeh I got a letter but it turns out I don't fit the criteria, you didn't have to ring them though, writing to them or emailing is fine too.
