Right now it is changing every week and quite rightly so, it is changing for two reasons. Depending on who we play and getting used to our new squad which quite frankly has two even teams on paper.

I really think Arnies gotta be careful not to lose his place, we've added significant talent this season, Bojan and Moses, i really like him but he may struggle to get in if his attitude doesn't get better.

I like the 4-4-2 we saw on Saturday and thinks it suits our forwards the best but it depends on how the opposition sets up and we will have to adapt against three man midfields.

I'd go with

..........................Bego........................
Bardsley......Ryan......Huth...........Eric
.............NZonzi.............GCam...........
...Moses..........Bojan...........Assaidi....
..........................Diouf........................
Away
........................Bego..........................
Bardsley......Ryan....,,Huth...........Eric
...........NZonzi.........,,,Whelan............
Walters.....................................Moses
........................Diouf...........................

What a dilemma Crouch still has a lot to offer.

Begovic Bardsley Shawcross Wilson Pieters Whelan N'Zonzi Diouf Bojan Moses Crouch I like this as it rewards Crouch for recent performances while keeping Bojan and Diouf involved. However it would mean leaving Arnie out which isn't cool.

So much quality as we saw during the second part of last season.

Crouch has always been better when he's ben played as part of a two and Saturday demonstrated that, Diouf prefers to play in a two as well.
Crouch said himself that Saturday was probably his best performance in a Stoke shirt, far better for him having a partner than being isolated up there on his own.

It's been 2 games. He was probably our best forward against Villa despite not playing great. Diouf had 2 shit games...then does that against the champions.

It'll be tough for Arnie to get in, last season Sparky give him a kick up the backside, perhaps he needs it again

I think Sparky wants speed in our front 4, especially at home, Moses, Assaidi, Bojan and Diouf give us that, I can see Crouchy being played more away than at home.

I can't frigging do it, pissing be off. I can only pick a team of my favourites although we have enough quality in depth to change personnel according to tactics against different opposition, and form. My favourites (for each position) are probably:
Begovic Cameron Shawcross Huth Muniesa Whelan N'Zonzi Moses Bojan Arnie Diouf
Although I probably prefer a 442 over 4231 with Bojan playing alongside either Crouch or Diouf.

My team would be: Begovic, Bardsley, Shawcross, Huth, Pieters Nzonzi, Adam, Moses, Bojan, Assaidi Diouf
Bench Sorro, Muniesa, Cameron, Whelan, Crouch, Arnie, Walters
Obviously I'd change it around to keep everybody happy, including having different people on the subs bench each week but that is some first team!

Why is everyone putting Huth in
|
|
|
Post by Pretty Little Boother on Sept 1, 2014 23:58:22 GMT
Because he's an infinitely better centre half than the stop-gap Wilson, done alright and tried hard but he's not a centre half and he's a weak link.

Imsuprised people are putting Assaidi above Arnie. If Arnie keeps performing like he has so far this season, i'd even put Brek Shea before him

Pretty much all of us are putting Huth in, we need ze big German back alongside Ryan. Why? Wilson is consistent and does a very good all round job. He stays in the team on merit.
