It's amazing how people twist little things in stories. This isn't exactly what was said is it?
What was actually said is...
They are having a meeting to discuss Odemwingies injury and MAY change their plans.

Basically what John Percy tweeted last night then? Who would we look at though? We must already have irons in some fires if there is a chance of a new winger.

Hughes sounded confident that Odenwingie's injury was probably not too bad - so bit unexpected if they're suddenly sure it's potentially a bad one. Assaidi is waiting to be loaned by someone - but probably doesn't fill the same slot in the squad?

As much as I liked Assaisi last season he has shown himself just to be a greedy shit. Let him rot in the changing room at Liverpool. He had his chance but his greed got in the way.

I doubt we will sign another player even with Odemwingie's injury. I think we have enough at the club already.

If it's a replacement for wingie, it needs to be a goal scoring winger that can play up top aswell

Assaidi it is then. Not as thrilled as I would have been. He has come across as arrogant and greedy with his pre season demands.
Apparently we have paid 1 million and are paying all his wages in the deal as well.

I would not have been happy with the permanent transfer at the wages he wanted - I can live with the loan deal on (by Prem standards) modest wages.
