He was absolutely brilliant. How some people doubt him is beyond me.

My MOTM. Absolute class on his day. He'd waltz into any club in England

I've said it before but it is worth repeating: Steven N'Zonzi is the best midfielder to play for Stoke since Alan Hudson.

If he could shoot and was a little more consistent, he would be playing for a top 4 side.

MOTM, absolutely outstanding, made Toure look pedestrian.

Yes I'm completely biased but he was head and shoulders above Toure today.

His best game in a Stoke shirt! Many more performances like that and a bigger club will come in for him! Really showed what he can do today!

Whelan and N'Zonzi were both superb in their own individual ways.
Today was a day where the 99.9% of the game where you are off the ball was paramount. Both kept their positions and blocked, tackled and harried at just the right times. The two dove tail beautifully and we are exceptionally lucky to have them both.
Like Wilson, Whelan and N'Zonzi shoved the moans of the usual suspects back down their throats.

His driving runs were quality today. They were, but that's the point, today was a rarity. He has it in him to do stuff like this but most of the time he plays the 10yd sideways/backwards pass. He could be our Ya Ya Toure if he only had the desire

Can somebody explain to me why the Nzonzi that played today doesn't turn up every week??? Instead we usually get the back passing, not wanting to drive forward with the ball, slows play down to a crawl Nzonzi!!!

Just completely bossed it in midfield. The man is immense when he's in that kind of mood.
Having said that, Whelan was also outstanding today. Just does the basics, but does them very, very well.

He loves these big games. Potentially a top top player. He's getting more consistent under Hughes and if he can keep improving and turn in these performances more often he will be sought after by the champions league sides
