Where do you start with this bloke? There was a lot of pseudo-weirdness around in the late seventies, but first time I saw Eraserhead I realized that I was looking at weirdness done right....

So that's what Barry from Eastenders did before joining the soap. For me, David Lynch = Twin Peaks = Legend.

I haven't watched all of Lynch's work, but have loved everything I've seen.
I used to be obsessed with Twin Peaks when that was on. Been meaning to get hold of the DVD for ages but never seem to get round to it.
Apparently Lynch wanted Mulholland Drive to be a series in a similar vein, but no networks would touch it. Amazing film though; absolute quality.

One of the strangest characters that Lynch created was Bobby Peru. Willem Defoe at his best in Wild at Heart.

I loved Twin Peaks...it was unique in its surreal almost paranormal menacing self.
Lynch is a genius IMO but in a very dark fascinating way.
