Gutted I couldn't go tonight due to other commitments but can someone who went please rate the players and who deserves to get a start against Man City e.g. Jon Walters?

Hughes had showed in his time here that whoever impresses him will get opportunities so you would imagine Walters has give him a real selection headache along with Moses. Personally I'd go with
Bego Bardsley huth Ryan pieters Nzonzi whelan sidwell Moses Walters arnie

He couldn't be less effective than Diouf has been. But in all seriousness he's not the man to start up top, I'd opt for wingie and just go for pace on the counter. Walters can come on and be a pain in the arse if by some miracle we're not losing on 60 mins.

He's been chasing him for 12 months so it's a big call to drop him after 2 games.

I would mate because were going spend long periods without the ball so defend from the front and Walters will do that aswell as holding the ball up. If we can stay tight and stay in the game then we can change it accordingly depending how ambitious we want to be

Bego Bardsley Shawcross Wilson Pieters Zonz Whelan Sidwell Moses Diouf Arnie
I imagine this will be the team providing Whelan's fit, if he isn't I think Bojan may start but then if he isn't fit, I'd bring Wingie/Walters in.

Muniesa will be pushing Pieters hard for the LB spot, that could be another selection dilemma for MH.

You have to wonder what Muniesa has got to do to get a run in the first team at left back.
He always plays well.

Really? Who was marking Jelavic at the back post? Who missed a 50;50 with Weimann?
Begovic should have done better with both but Wilson could have stopped both!

Bego Bardsley Shawcross Huth Pieters Whelan Sidwell N'Zonzi Arnie Diouf Moses
N'Zonzi as furthest midfielder forward, Arnie on the left, Moses on the right (to swap if needed). Would persevere with Diouf.

Bego
Pieters Huth Shawcross Bardsley
Nzonzi Adam
Arnie Bojan Moses
Diouf
With how Demichelis plays against Crouch, Diouf may be a better option for scoring potential. The service potentially offered by moses, bojan, and arnie may be just what we need. Remember last year when Arnie caught fire? It was because PO came in and added another level. Moses should be able to do the same thing.
Cameron looked good while he play today, and if he can bounce back from the injury, a sub in for bardsley or Adam would be great. I'd trust him with the CB role as well.
