Ryan Shawcross will clearly never play for England again, which is a real shame. What Chambers and Stones have done to get a call-up ahead of him only Woy knows. Absolute garbage.
Delph and Colback are the answer in the middle of the park? Fuck knows what the question is!

Awful squad.
Happy Delph has been called up, good player. (I'm not basing this on when he's played against us).

Clyne should have been called up before Chambers.

I've got some sympathy in midfield with Carrick, Barkley, Lampard, Gerrard etc unavailable/retired.
But the treatment of Shawcross is unfathomable.
Stones and Chambers are barely through puberty and pretty untested, where as the likes of Shawcross and even Curtis Davies are battle-hardened and Premier-proven.
But if your face club, doesn't fit, it doesn't fit.

Shawcross won't play for England because he's not good enough, get over it.

But if your face club, doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. It's the same with Colback. He played last year in a poor Sunderland side before moving to Newcastle and suddenly he deserves an England call up?. If he still played for Sunderland he wouldn't be anywhere near the squad.

For the national team you can only pick the best of the available options. I fail to see how Ryan cannot be deemed one of the best 3 or 4 English qualified centre backs playing right now.

Terrible squad. Shawcross and Davies should be in it instead of Stones and Chambers. I would also have put Clyne in.

I think that might be the weakest England squad in my lifetime. I was alive for Mexico '86. 1. Shilton, Peter L. 2. Stevens, M. Gary 3. Sansom, Kenneth G. 4. Hoddle, Glenn 5. Martin, Alvin E. 6. Butcher, Terence I. 7. Robson, Bryan 8. Wilkins, Raymond C. 9. Hateley, Mark W. 10. Lineker, Gary W. 11. Waddle, Christopher R. 12. Anderson, Vivian A. 13. Woods, Christopher C.E. 14. Fenwick, Terence W. 15. Stevens, Gary A. 16. Reid, Peter 17. Steven, Trevor M. 18. Hodge, Stephen B. 19. Barnes, John C.B. 20. Beardsley, Peter A. 21. Dixon, Kerry M. 22. Bailey, Gary R.

Stones can't get a start for Everton this season yet he's worthy of an England call up. Truly bizarre.

And according to opta he is the 5th best rated player in the league so far

More wank squad selection from a wank manager, I have completely lost any interest in our national team and I can't see it changing while the fucking clowns are in charge of the circus. Gouranga. Never a truer word was spoken.

Said it a 1000 times, Ryan should go and play for Wales. Him and Ashley Williams would form a decent partnership, the way both nations are heading they'll be better than England in 5 years anyway.
Playing for Wales might not get him to a World Cup or the Euro's, but it would give him 40/50 caps and he's be able to measure himself against some tiop class international strikers regularly

With Lampard and Gerrard, Cole gone and Shaw. Barkley, Lallana and Gibbs injured it's going to be a pretty "special" looking England squad isn't it? Who's going to fill the gaps in midfield? Wilshere, Henderson, Milner, Chambo??? Left back- Rose? Bertrand? And which young gun centre half or halves will get the nod? I thought he would have picked Dier from Spurs. I like the look of him, he could be a real player for the future.

The fact there are fewer quality English players in the PL is not the fault of the English manager.

If he's going to take a punt on a young defender, surely you choose the one who was an impressive regular for a European team in Portugal and has played well since joining the Prem over 2 players who haven't made 30 first team appearances between them at center back.
