Chris Jordan having an absolute mare. Absolutely ......feel a little sorry for him , but he's obviously not learned from his experiences a little earlier in the summer

They look like ODI cricketers, not so sure about test cricketers (over here at least). Lots of empty seats again. They do need to think about their pricing policy again.

Absolutely right , far too expensive to pre order a ticket in this country for an International Cricket Match , always the question of value for money in weather related games , we are far to money orientated these days , a reflection of the way other sports have gone I suppose.

I would prefer inadvisable. Or brave and stupid? Why didn't he try some more from Root? I can't answer that one , I suppose he may have being trying to show faith in the lad ....wrongly so considering how he'd bowled earlier

Can't see us getting these, the ball is doing all sorts and our approach to the innings has been poor.

I don't think we'll ever learn to play this form of the game properly.

South Africa chased down 327 against the Aussies with 3 overs to spare, our chances of doing anything in the World Cup are infinitesimal.

I don't think we'll ever learn to play this form of the game properly. I think Swanny is correct: we have no chance at the World Cup. There's too many teams playing ODI's on a different level to us.

We have to start these games with the same approach that the other countries do , we have made a start , with Hales and Butler , we need to get James Taylor into the team as well , there are plenty of good young players around who can play this power game ....we just need to select them , I can't see it happening before this World Cup happens though

Wrong selection, wrong tactics, wrong captain, wrong everything. Unfortunately Captain Cock Up puts himself ahead of anything else. And he is the root of all our troubles. I said that while winning the test series was great - there was a big risk it would just mask over a whole lot of issues that are still as big at the end of the series as they were at the start. Again most of this revolves around Cook. Ditch him from the ODI team; take the captaincy off him in the test team. Leave him to become, once again, the best test opening batsman in the world. Oh - and pick men in form. Meaning, as you say Taylor. He was sensational yet again yesterday.

Today was a poor performance , but it would be unfair to use it as a wholesale means to blame Cook for every single facet of England's game that is below par , that is patently unfair , he is not responsible for the way the bowlers bowl or the batsmen other than him self bat .....what he is responsible for is the bowling changes , and the field placings ....some of which were indifferent once again today ......He is the Captain , but, he only bears some responsibility for selection and tactics and everything else.....there is a greater management set up in which Peter Moores the coach has a big say in what direction the Team is moving in .....both Cook and Moores are only carrying out their mandate given to them by Paul Downton , until the ECB wish to change that , things will remain as they are......Don't Knock Cook for doing the job that he has been chosen to do, he is doing it to the best of his ability , whether that is good enough is open to debate ......but I to hope to see him regain his position as the worlds best opening batsman

Cook as opening bat - I do buy. Cook as an ODI batsman - nope. Cook as a test cricketer - no question. Cook's current position is untenable - or it should be. Downton and Moores are also part of the problem. Although they obviously can't be held to account for the diabolical winter, as far as I am concerned they are cut from the same establishment cloth as their predecessors and effectively represent a strong continuity of the previous regime. The whole thing needs turning on its head. With the existing management trinity of Cook, Moores and Downton I just see more disappointment ahead.
