Remember a few years ago when we played Man City and Rory was sent off for kicking Wright Philips, for the rest of the game every time wright Philips touched the ball, boos rang around the ground. In fact pretty much every time a man city player touched the ball. We should seriously do this EVERY home game! boo and whistle like a crowd possessed! Every time the opposition touch the ball. Resulting in panic, which will lead to pressure, misplaced passes and general mistakes. And when we have the ball we need to cheer, chant, sing and make the Brit the fortress it once was! And you never know with enough people joining in with the revolution we could have an atmosphere like this; link

It's a good idea, but, we(the fans) seem to be reacting now to what is happening on the pitch rather than the way we did in the early years of our premiership adventure. We have lost the siege mentality about the place. In my opinion it's been replaced with moans and groans, sometimes before a ball has even been kicked! A great idea though Rick, you can count me in for sure

I think we should single out one player at random every week* to really rip into from the 10th minute onwards. He'll spend the rest of the match wondering what the hell he's done, and this should be enough to completely throw him off his game. Good for a laugh as well I'd imagine.
*That's an opposition player by the way, for the hard of thinking.

Like against Tottenham last season, that was pretty intense, especially with the mad individual next to me. Or against Arsenal, always boos for them!

I'm in favour of picking on some inexperienced full back. It's an evil plan, but it might just work.

I think we had some games with ace atmosphere last season. We won't cheer a team underperforming and I'm sure the performances and atmosphere will come!

Barton, fibreglass, arsenal and Rose get both barrels this season.
I expected more from the villa game.
I'm all for making atmosphere better, not quite palace ultras but any ideas help. There's similar groups at spurs, man utd etc

In the season after promotion, we did it in pretty much every game against a team that kept possession. Doesn't really work now we keep possession though. Too obvious. They'd soon cotton on. I'm thinking a designated person in the crowd - a bit like TJ starting Delilah. Whoever he boos, the crowd join in. Actually, I'm thinking of a Roman emperor type scene where designated person gives an opposition player the thumbs down . . . and away we go.

The only way the random player booing will work is stickers on seats.
The club will have to pick an opposition player at random, then get stickers printed and placed on every seat.
"SCFC hopes that you will all join in and boo Wayne Routledge during this afternoons match. But dunna stand up too much. Thanks"
I'm e-mailing the club with this.

Random boo player. Has to be done
Surely a thread can be started and pinned for the days leading up to a home match? Then printed on the back of the Oatcake for every match?
Genius

Here are the fans we should single out!! To single out the more well known members of the teams could be counterproductive, as they may be used to getting 'stick' from the stands. Excepting my selections from the media dahling teams that is! I haven't included Villa because they've already visited our bear cage play pen.
I realised that for some reason they are nearly all midfielders aswell....!!
Liverpool - Johnson Man Utd - Phil Jones Chelsea - Hazard/Willian/Ivanovic (sorry, I couldn't decide on just one!) Arsenal - Giroud Man City - Zabaleta Tottingham - Kaboul Everton - Pienaar Sunderland - Van Aanholt West Ham - Tomkins QPR - Faurlin Newcastle Utd - Coloccini Crystal Palace - Dann Southampton - Fonte West Brazil - Mulumbu Swansea - Neil taylor Hull City - McShane Leicester City - Drinkwater Burnley - Trippier

A few years ago we went to the Chelsea away game where we hammered John Terry all of the way through the match. In the second half he sliced a clearance and looked at our fans swore and stuck two fingers up. We had really got under his skin. If we do this at 10 mins each week the opposition will become wise to it and we need to target a decent player as theres no point in trying to put off a poor player.

Don't you think they'll already be wise to it if it's plastered all over the bleedin' internet? And picking on the poorer players is exactly who we need to be picking on - you're only as strong as your weakest link, as the saying goes. The weaker players are the ones who'll fall to pieces and hopefully make more mistakes for us to capitalise on.
