my money would be on tim sherwood From what I've been told today it's almost a certainty now. You can still get 2/1 with bet365 that he'll get the job, not bad odds at all at this stage.

Sherwood or Hoddle I believe?
I'd love to see Hoddle back in the mix. He really does have so much potential as a manager, it's not even funny.
Sherwood could come good as well to be fair. I'm all for more British managers in the top flight!

Someone on the radio has just mentioned Martin Jol. Then they moved on to talking about Manure, so I turned it off!

I don't quite get the clamour for Hoddle. Was a decent England manager. Last job in football was eight years ago when he failed to get an expensively assembled Wolves team out of the Championship and drew 45% of his games.
He's done well to cultivate this 'thinker' image for a man who at the World Cup repeatedly referred to Algeria as 'Al-Jazeera'.

Absolutely shocking. Wonder if they are taking about Odemwingie in one of those alleged texts when they mention a Nigerian player.
I also think Vincent Tan has played a blinder here . He's waited for the right moment to exact his revenge on Mackay.

Two things of real note here;
First casual use of communication products; be careful what you tweet, text, write on message boards. If a journalist took an interest in you, would you be happy to see stuff you've written plastered all over the Daily Mail. It's what's know up here as the Daily Record test. And remember, these journalist folks will trawl through thousands of messages to find a handful of "bad" messages. And it doesn't take much effort really - they'll just use a search engine of some sort with filters set to appropriate words to find stuff that suits their purposes in seconds.
Second; agent payments. This looks like it could be a huge issue. By stopping payments to agents, Tan clearly believes there has been wrongdoing. Maybe even criminal. I mean, if I was owed monies that have been withheld I'm sure I'd take appropriate action to get them. Strange that that doesn't seem to have happened! The world of transfers, fees etc has long been a murky one. Maybe Tan is the man prepared to shine a light on it; good for him if he does.

What's going on with Odemwingie?
"The transfer of Peter Odemwingie from West Bromwich Albion to Cardiff for £2.25m in September 2013 was among those investigated. Odemwingie was represented by Rob Segal and it is understood the two men are now in a legal dispute over the payment of agents’ fees, with the Nigeria striker’s subsequent move to Stoke also part of that dispute..
Some payments due in the Odemwingie move to Cardiff have been withheld by the club. Segal insisted he was in a dispute with a 33-year-old in a case now heading for an FA tribunal."

He's waited for the right moment to exact his revenge on Mackay. Right at the bottom of the article they do mention Wingie - both the transfer to Cardiff and then to Stoke. The "problem" does appear to have been with an agent though, rather than with the player - it is the agent's fee which has been withheld by Tan.

Just said on SSN that Moody is leaving Palace today, looks like not only do they not want McKay but neither do they want Moody either.
Vincent has really thrown the spanner in ( 2 birds with 1 stone?)

With Palace's long term plan Sherwood would be the ideal candidate and I think he'd do well there. Moody was obviously pushing for his pal and it's awlays nice to break up the old boys network! I like Sherwood especially after the Spurs game here last season. He was as hyped as the rest of us after it and refreshingly 'honest'.

TP fell out with Moody, not surprised Moody looks & is obviously a complete wanker.TP is best out of that shithole and he'll be back shortly managing another premiership club.I hope they go down it's the worst ground to get to and I hate the area.
