Some of our support have turned into the kind of fans that many of us have despised for years. We have a seam of fans running through the support who act like manure fans, thinking that winning is a god-given right. The amount of whining and moaning after one game has been shameful.
That's the Premier League for you I guess.

I was quiet when others booed and I clapped with everyone else but I have no problem what so ever with people booing when the team doesn't perform as well as we know they can. I think it's fair enough that the players are made aware when the supporters aren't happy with the effort they put in.

Have never and will never boo, end of.
Yesterday didn't work and I fully expect MH to put it right just like he did last season after a slow start.
With Moses and Wingie to come back we have so many options - the hardest thing will be keeping everyone happy but none of them should assume their place is guaranteed...

I silently walked out at FT stunned at our performance. Same here I was shell shocked.

Don't have a problem with booing under normal circumstances. Yesterday wasn't a normal situation though given we had a load of new players and it was first game of the season. Utterly pathetic. As for the fighting well...hard to disagree with you there Tone. Scum.

If you feel your team havent put in the effort, then boo at the end is acceptable to show the overpaid footballers they have to do more. Against Villa the team did try their best but didnt play as a team, sloppy passes and not enough supply for the players who could make a difference. So they didnt deserve Booing

I didn't boo us off but then again I didn't clap either. I just stood there and thought typical bloody stoke. We've been fans long enough to realise that we would fuck it up yesterday

Stoke on Trent Tony. What do you expect? Don't really get that comment?! Tony has a mind spasm every now and then and accuses the people of little old Stoke on Trent as having a 'small town' mentality. My childish sense of humour means i try to ram it down his throat everytime he speaks out about Stoke or the City. I keep telling myself that one day i'll grow up but I never do. Tony ignores me so it's all good.

Lets face it it was the most noise most made all afternoon. Christ it was like a morgue most of the game, apart from the odd half arsed groan when the ball was played backwards. It was very quiet, really subdued. It's clear there was much anxiety in both the players and the crowd and both sets of anxiety were feeding each other. I've not felt anything quite like that before at the Brit, shit games yes, I know the feeling well, shit performances yes, I know the feeling well but that was like, how can I say this....t he game that never was.
Can't say I heard the booing from the top of the Q-Railing though.

Its the first game of the season - never easy especially with new players needing prem time and to learn to play together Hughes will sort it....if you didnt like it, dont clap, but booing at this stage is just shallow and impatient

No ....you can't call someone low life scum because they don't share your enthusiasm. That's out of order. We live in a free a country with free speech and if they want to boo , then they can do. Ironic that you quote free speech after telling someone they can't say something! H

I didn't join in, but obviously shared the sentiment. Not saying it's right, but people pay their money and can do what they want, especially if they're stayed until the end.

I have to admit I did not clap and I was totally Pissed off , deflated and shocked at such a poor performance against a very very shit villa side...........................BUT...............Booing the team at the first game of the season was just embarrassing, I bet Bojan and co wonder what the fuck they have let themselves in for, as bad as we were the team needs to find the right balance and formation to suit the sides that we play and unfortunately this just did not happen Saturday we managed to get it all wrong, I thought with Diouf on and Senderos playing it would have been a goal fest for Stoke with the reports of how fast he was but it seemed we failed to test old Concrete boots in a one v one sprint....oh well on wards and upwards I am sure Sparkey and Co are as Pissed as we are if not more so with some of the performances on show.....

We'd seen enough by 85 minutes. Booing at the end of the first game though? I just find it quite a bizarre thing to do. We didn't play well enough to win a match against a team that had a plan that worked brilliantly, not the end of the world is it? Dare I say Manchester United fans didn't even boo after loosing this weekend?

This is something else that needs addressing. I watch the game until the end, win, lose or draw. These people who get up and go before the end should go and watch something else. Because they block the aisles, this then means that others have to stand up to see the game, and then the people behind them have to stand up and so on. I'd personally put seat belts in with automatic locks on, so they can't spoil everyone else's enjoyment. What's to rush home for anyway? There is plenty of time to enjoy Saturday evening after watching the whole game! As I say, win, lose or draw!

I agree with people that purposely block the aisles, if I get up for a wazz towards the end I make a habit of forging a way though in a cuntish manner if people don't move, same with the stewards as they make a habit of block the exit at times. Don't see a problem with people leaving, but if you're if you're leaving early doors, do just that.
