Just a quick update for those who could not attend.
It was a cracking night with an excellent turn out. Over 300 turned up, raising £300 for the stanley matthews trust in the process.
The manager was there along with Ade, Daryl Russell and Tim Gallimore. Nigel Johnson was asking the questions.
Firstly all questions were answered fairly staightfowardly and honestly, with Pulis only dodging one question, but he dodged it honestly. When asked which 3 nationwide players he would like to sign if money was no object he decided to not answer this as he was happy with the squad of players he had and didnt want ot be drawn on specific players. Fair enough.
There was a good mix of questions, and what is very apparent is that he thinks Ade is triffic with a very large capital T. He also praised Russell, on his energy levels and workrate, which was loudly applauded.
He was asked on his philosophy regards younger players like Owen, Henry & Commons, to which he replied that although he thought the academy set up was important it didnt prepare players for 1st team football, as they play games which winning isnt everything. So as all games at 1st team level are played to be won he prefers to send out younger players on loan to build them up a bit. Commons wasnt directly mentioned in his answer. He mentioned his record with other clubs in blooding younger players.
He did however give big praise to Lewis Neal, saying how Lewis only talks about playing for Stoke and no-one else, and is always first in for training and last away. says hes a great player.
He talked quite passionately about how the success of Stoke city has direct influence on the wider community, this went down very well. Its nice to see a manager acknowledging how a club affects the local area, and hit the right spot with his comments.
Ade was asked what made him want to sign for the club, to which he answered The fans making him feel wanted as well as the manager, and the players. The same question was put to daryl who stated that when he was approached by Stoke his mum did some research on the internet about the club including visiting the Oatcake site for info!! Overall I was dead impressed with Daryl and his attitude. He said that he keeps telling the palyers about how many points we need to make the play offs. Top bloke.
Pulis sang the praises of Hoekstra saying his workrate had improved greatly( although hes a bit softer than the other lads). But reckons he does stuff in training he's not seen a player do before. Also said what we already knew about Gerrry, excellent pro..great in the dressing room etc etc.
Regards Crossley Pulis reckons if it hadnt been for the amazing offer from Fulham(he has a young family) he would have signed for Stoke. He would like to see him back.
Mentioned the good relationship built up between us and Arsenal, so expect some more action there.
One final, interesting point. he said that he had been contacted by a journolist saying that some newspapers were trying to set up young ladies with professional players to try to get them to perform"indescretions" which they would then report in all its gory detail. refrered to directly in connection to the Leicester situation.
So, all in all a cracking night and has only cemented my opinion of Pulis, and Ade and Russell.
Ive tried to cover as many areas as possible but if anyone wants to ask a question about the night Ill do my best to answer it.
Rob.

TP also said that De Goey was a bit soft and he's convinced he'll be fit for Saturday.

Russel drew the biggest laugh of the night by admitting he was lucky to only get a yellow card on Saturday. ;D

Coll40,I thought the funniest part the night was one of the question slips being read out for Ade "For sale 3 bedroom semi within easy walking distance of The Brittannia Stadium" ;D.It was a very good night, but I could have a good night anywhere that sells decent Carling at £1.50p a pint, top drawer!
PS How longs The Florence club been refurbished,I've not been up myself for a couple of years and it hasn't half changed, its far better.

Can only agree totally with rob here and others who attended. What a very good evening it was. Nigel johnson has to chair these events, hes a pro at it! oh er matron, and he is passionate about our club. Well done Nige. Triffic tone oozed charisma and humour. He seems so motivated, yet calm in his role. I believe he has the players 100% behind him. Referred to as the GAFFER by Darel! Not boss or the manager but GAFFER, now thats proper nogger talk!!! In Akinbyi we have the best striker in this division! those were Mr P's words!!! Wait until he has had a pre season. Tim Galimore comes across as genuine, you have a tough job mate but keep going. The first action is the season ticket offer. This has done nothing but win you total respect from the supporters, you have in my opinion got off on the right foot! WELL DONE. With regards to the true supporters card scheme this may be shelved in future years!!!! put on the back burner, once our reputation has improved. It is there at the mo to improve our standing not only in the football world but a cleaner image helps to sell the club commercially to the markets!!!!! according to tim! please correct if i am wrong? Oh and 54 points my arse tone!!!!!!!!!!!! GO FOR IT STOKE. We may be viewed as underdogs in the coming matches, and I like that. Don't be surprised if we have a few shocks. GO FOR BROKE STOKE

no mention was made regards those players leaving, either on loan or permanently. he was adamant that Asaba was not leaving.

really annoying that greenacre has rejected the loan approaches IMHO, we could have put his wages to a better use

I agree Mark. I cant see his logic. He would still get paid the same amount, but he would get the chance to play regular 1st team football and show Pulis he should be playing him week in week out. Instead he has chosen to sit on the bench

yep or sometimes not even on the bench, surely he doesnt seriously think that hes gonna get into the 1st team barring injuries and then possibly not i think someone should have a quiet word in littles chrissys ear at the reserve game tomorrow and tell him how good a move would be for him i.e. chris you had better be at another club by thurs morn at the latest or else
