Sad or not but Stoke City is slowly starting to take over my life, All day every day, i think about them, the next game, the last game, i must piss people off at work because every conversation turns into a Stoke City one! Ive got a Stoke shrine in my room, Stoke mug, Stoke mousemat, signed shirt...I even get withdrawel symptons when we dont play! Fuck im 22 going on 12!

another point, slightly off topic, i was just having a look at the remaining fixtures and thought to myself that the season has flown by and there are only another 5 (or possibly 6 ) home games left, before you know it the season will have ended and we will have to put up with 3 months or so without any stoke matches, oh well at least we have euro 2004 this year to keep us entertained for 3 weeks!! just 96 more days to go!!

Stoke City pretty much runs (nearly spelled out "ruins" then!) my life completely. I'm either watching Stoke, talking about Stoke, writing about Stoke or on a website about Stoke! And when it's not Stoke it's my family and my two lads playing Sunday football.
Sometimes I just have to get away and that's where my other passions (baseball, films and reading) kick in - if I didn't have those I'd go stark raving mad in about a week.
Been like this ever since I weas about 10 and don;t think I'll ever change to be honest.
It's not like I can escape it either. Two years ago we went to Florida on holiday and I ended up meeting four other Stokies... one in a sports shop and three others at various parks... still ended up talking shedloads about Stoke!!! ;D

Hm, interesting.
I'm not sure whether it's Stoke or football in general in my case. I find myself just as happy after having a good kickaround for an hour as I do when Stoke win. Granted, I will never get anything like the feeling of Jimmy's equaliser at Ninian Park by playing football (at my level) but I don't think Stoke City itself is big enough in my mind to take over my life, even a little bit. I'd class it as my main hobby, I'm spending 40-odd quid next week to go to Sunderland, I can't really afford that but it's what I do.
I reckon it's the same with any other hobby though, believe it or not people can be just as passionate about chess or space as we are about football and Stoke.
Smudge has his baseball, films and reading; I have playing and watching as many other sports as possible (baseball will take over big-time very soon), my music, comedies and (not really classed as a hobby but it's what I like to do) generally having a laugh and taking the piss.
I'm at an interesting place in my Stoke supporting 'career' having boycotted home games until Cardiff this season, and coming pretty close to saying bollocks to them. No doubt this will result in people thinking "well he's not a proper Stoke fan then, Every Step Along The Way" and all that stuff but at the end of the day it's just a game and should not be allowed to run your life in my opinion.
Edit- And before anyone says, yes I've posted a ridiculous number of messages on this board. That doesn't prove anything though.

Hopelessly.... To be honest I'm not sure I am. Sitting in my room with a Stoke shirt on my radiator, another 3 in the wardrobe; a calender, fixture list and a couple of postcards on my wall; a Stoke City phone cover and a copy of Saturday's Oatcake ready to be read would suggest otherwise I suppose but like I say, just a hobby at the end of the day.

Hi OVFOM,
I was just trying to figure out who you may be. The lad (I assume you mean him) is fine and progressing with the City's flagship football club. ;D
You have me at a disadvantage. Give me a clue! ???

Its a massive part of my life-I get a massive buzz even when Im at home on the Friday before the game, things have got even better-Ive been going for 12 years and always loved Steino and Vinnie but I think I love Ade and Taggart more ;D On a Saturday I'll avoid anything (within obvious reasons) that will stop me going Stoke ;D However I love my music and when Im not at Stoke or work Im on me guitar or listening to music
