I wonder how much of the poor form has been down to the constant change down there ?? If TP can get him back to the player he once was he'll be a decent signing.

Considering Pulis was after Caulker, its a poor alternative

And the award for the most obvious transfer deal of the summer goes to.... ... surpassed only by one ("Go on") Jon Walters at 22:59 on Mon 1 Sept, 2014

And the award for the most obvious transfer deal of the summer goes to.... I have been told that Pulis was tracking an African import he had earmarked for centre half, unfortunately the giraffe has tragically been killed in a freak accident whilst in transit, hence he has turned to a lump of Norwegian wood with Premiere league experience.

He certainly isn't the player who looked so majestic against us in 2008. Tony probably thinks he is though. Hopefully Tone will also finally land Zamora too and your 2008 gear won't look out of place when Tone rocks up at the Brit It's times like this that you can't help but be pleased our transfers are now in different hands.

Despite the stupid comments from the usual suspects, one thing Pulis does know and it's CB's. He'll get him sorted, he's been playing under that defensive genius that is Magath, who gave us that fantastic right back at the end of the season.

He'll have five players in front of him and three alongside him.

Yeah he knew Robert Huth was a right back All done to find a place for Woodgate Hangerland is his usual hard on ageing past their sell by date centre half signing ......see Woodgate and Upson The coup de Graz was Paul Williams

Straight out of the Magath book of defending that one was.

So when TP went there their improved results weren't down to him sorting their defence out, it must be because he vastly improved their attacking capabilities.

Can not deny he has a passion for CB's, only issue is he likes converting them into full backs or wingers

Hangeland isn't half the player he was but it was obvious Tone would have a hard on for him. Nobody is having a pop at TP but the story is mildly amusing given what we all know about him and his favourite type of acquisition. As for Tone knowing a centre back, yes he signed some very, very good ones. He also signed some absolute shitters too, lest we forget.

I think people are being really quite harsh on the bloke, I think he'll still be a great player. He has had an awful season or two but that whole Fulham defence was shit and he can't do it all on his own can he, judge him when he plays alongside competent players not at the woeful Fulham team last season

He'll definitely look better in a Pulis flat back 10
