"However, due to an agreement with fellow midfielder Lalawelé Atakora, who at the time was wearing number 11, he got to switch from 14 to 11."
Sounds like a bit of a dick

He wanted to wear a certain number and asked his team-mate who agreed. That makes him seem like a bit of a dick? Only on this message board, well, maybe not only on this message board but, behave!

The difference there is, i was only being daft. If i was actually totally serious then i'd say "Bojan wants number 27? Seems like a bit of a dick to me" I'd then expect abuse from all angles.

He looks quite strong and direct. He's 6ft2 as well.

Cheers for that. He looks like he can play either as a conventional winger on the right or a reverse winger/striker on the left. Certainly uses his size to good advantage. He looks strong enough to play as a central striker as well.

He's very, very right footed isn't he?
Although he does pop up on the right, in the main he appears to be on the left most of the time.
An alternative to Assaidi perhaps, or maybe even a bit of misinformation put out there to put pressure on Assaidi to sign?

This seems to be the only link. Could well be another example of the Sentinel website making every tenuous link into hit bait.

Nope. But I could see us going all out to get him in place of Assaidi in view of Assaidi's agent's pissing us about.

In our system our wingers are designed to cut in on their stronger foot rather than hog the touchline so ideally we'd be better suited to signing a left footer who can play on the right and cut in his stronger foot, with Arnie playing on the left and cutting in on his right foot. The only natural left footed winger we've been linked with of late is Andriy Yarmolenko isn't it?

At the moment Arnie is the only specialist winger we have. Yarmolenko (or similar) would make two and Assaidi or this guy Bahouli would make it three. That would probably be enough given that Wingie can fill in on the right as well as the centre. What I like about this guy Bahoui is that he seems to be able to play the Assaidi role AND as a conventional right winger - judging by the You Tube compilation. And he's big enough to play in the centre if needed - that could be very useful in a long season. Given Assaidi's agent's demands I'd switch our attention to this guy.

It would be nice to think Brek Shea could make the cut eventually because he's a natural left footer, sadly though I don't see that ever happening. Maybe I'm doing him a disservice but I don't get the impression he will bust a gut to try and force his way into Hughes's plans, he seems quite content just living the footballers lifestyle. I find Assaidi's wage demands bizarre, he obviously has a very greedy agent. At Liverpool he's on £21,000 a week, I'm quite sure we will have offered at least another £10K a week on top of that to put his wage upto the £30K a week mark, what exactly does he and his agent think he's done over the last 12 months to justify demanding more than that?

He's also predominantly right footed but he's comfortable on his left foot as well, he's probably played as many games on the left wing as he has on the right wing throughout his career so far. They reckon our initially rejected offer was near £3 million, personally I think he'd be worth paying twice as much as that for if necessary. He has the potential to be one of the best wingers in the Premier League with the right sort of players around him.

My main concern about Redmond is that he appears to have had a shocking year at Naarwich and has probably gone backwards from his Birmingham days. So, I'd want to be confident that Hughes knew the reason for his problems last season - it can't just be that he was playing for a poor team - you'd have hoped for some assists and a few goals as a minimum no matter how poor the other players were. Snodgrass (who I didn't want) at least scored a few. But I won't be slashing my wrists if we get him - but I do worry that ANY young English player is poor value for money these days.

Yeah, he didn't have the best of seasons it has to be said. I do think he is a player who needs a regular run of game time though to build up some momentum, he only started just over half of Norwich's league games last season so that may have been a factor.

So you reckon Bojan is a bit of a dick as well for wanting number 27 - the number he wore when he first played for Barca? A bit yeah. Seriously what difference does it make. It makes no difference to me - but then I am not low in confidence nor am I superstitious or religious. But if I was lacking in confidence and if I was superstitious then it might make a huge difference to me. I agree with Hughes that Bojan probably is low on confidence after his fall from the heights of his early promise at Barca So I'm delighted that he has doing the sensible thing in building up his player's fragile confidence by any means he can. Good man management in my book. A lot of the work of any personal coach is mental as much as physical.
