Tried again (and failed again) today to watch the game via a PS3.
I can get streams working on my PC or laptop, but both have relatively small screens. So I want to watch games on my TV set via my PS3, but it just keeps diverting to betting sites, or the home page of the stream provider (such as VIP Box) just freezes.
Anybody else watches via a PS3? If so, how do you get it to work, and which site do you use?
Thanks

If your pc/laptop has HDMI connection just connect one of them up to the tv? This, and if not get yourself a cheap htpc or mini itx pc. Sorted.

There's a couple of HDMI ports on the TV, but none on the laptop. What's a htpc or mini itx? Where would I get one of these and what sort of cost? The PS3 is linked to the TV with an HDMI cable. It gets the internet but doesn't show any streams. I'm not a techie and I'm baffled by that.

Here you go mate. USB to HDMI cable converter, then use your PS3's HDMI 2 HDMI cable to plug your laptop in to your tv. Can watch everything (even when the wife's away) on the big screen lmgtfy.com/?q=usb+to+hdmi+cable

Thanks for the replies.
I'm going to try the website used by Pickles. If that doesn't work then it looks like a conversion lead job.

One of these mate. Basically a PC in a case that looks like a DVD player. Get yourself an hdmi cable and a bluetooth keyboard and away you go. It'll sit lovely next to your sky/freesat/ps3 box. www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers/intel-htpc/

Ive had the same problem since starsports stopped working as they upgraded the flash player.
Ive got an mbox from google for £60 fully configured with xbmc. Which allows me to watch loads of sport on the big plus i can use startsports. You can get the boxes for as little as £30 if you want to install xbmc itself. Theres a long thread on their use on this board. Just search for xbmc

Adobe no longer develop flash for game consoles or handhelds etc, something to do with html5 becoming the new standard!
I have a raspberry pi running xbmc which is great, watched a he stream of the Schalke vs stoke game last night on my tv, Russian commentary though......
There is a thread on here about xbmc
