He's never accepted the bid though, has he? He's always been pretty consistent that he thinks selling him to Stoke is beneath him and too much of a blow to his ego. We'll see if this public statement from Yarmo moves the goalposts? I'm probably wrong then pal. I'm sure I read somewhere that they had accepted a 13 million pound bid. Inter accepted a bid for Shaqiri from us. Are you sure you are not thinking of that?

A couple of people who are quite close to the Coates family seem quite certain that discussions were had yesterday. No idea of the outcome though. There's one thing for sure though, the deal doesn't appear to be dead.

To be honest I'm too worried about getting my hopes up so unless I see him in the shirt I'm not going to allow myself to even think about it....or imagine it!!!

Yarmolenko in the interview @profootballukr made it clear that he is ready to go to Stoke City and is the only specific proposal on the table by the IC.

So it sounds like Dynamo are basically waiting for an offer to come in from anyone else other than us. Charming.

100 pages for this thread? Come on Yarmo make your mind up Taking the quotes on face value he has/would come to Stoke. Equally it appears the club president says no. Unlike Konopliankia there is no third party issues. There is a release clause. Our bid appears to be £2m short. Seems to me Dynamo are looking to squeeze that extra £2m from Stoke. So pay that extra and we get him. Can't be that simple can it?

Andriy Yarmolenko: "Proposal" Stoke City "is still in force, but the president did not want to let"
Midfielder "Dynamo" Andrei Yarmolenko said the offer from "Stoke City" .
"Yes," Stoke City "has made a formal proposal. It would be interesting to play in the Premier League, but the president did not want to let me go. It's okay, I have a contract year, I worked it and I will look for options.
I believe that the change in the Ukrainian Premier League championship - is a step forward. Of course, somewhere I have ambitions, I want to play in a top-end club than "Stoke City". I pondered the pros and cons.
There are some drawbacks, but still England - this is when the weekly 50 thousand people in the stadium is going, not 5. It would be nice to play again in two weeks against the "Chelsea", "Manchester United", "Manchester City" "Liverpool," Arsenal ".
I had an agreement with the president that I was released, but he did not want to do that. I think it makes no sense to sign a new contract with "Dinamo", because I was already 26.
The president said that "Stoke City" - not the level for me. Offer Englishmen still in force, but the president does not want to let go. Well, I have fulfilled my contract. I say everything as it really is, "- said Yarmolenko.

This is a problem tho. We need to hit that release clause and fast if we want him.

Claim seems to be that the interview wasrecorded before the Spurs "bid" was received. But I'm still suspicious about how little noise in England this "bid" is generating. The press are normally all over Spurs like a rash

Taking the quotes at face value(?), it would seem that Yarmo only signed the new contract till 2016 so that Kiev would get some cash for him = he's done them a favour and behaved honourably. Now Igor repays this good deed by refusing to let him leave for any club Igor doesn't approve and for whom Yarmo is quite prepared to sign. It may be that Yarmo WOULD be prepared to leave after being treated that way?

What an utter farce - club prepared to pay the fee, player wants to join the club but selling club won't sell because they don't think the new club is 'good enough' for the player. Bonkers.

But I take it this Yarmolenko would only make this all public if he wanted to push things along.
Its obvious the club president wouldnt appreciate him going to the media with this.
It aint over till the fat lady singeth

It's always about player power isn't it? If he's happy to come, surely (unless another team come in for him) he's on his way.
