Liverpool are paying way too much money to buy players. The Suarez money has all been blown on 5 players.

They're not allowing new players much time to gel. I reckon that must be around 80m in transfer fees to date and more to come.

Unless they get a top class striker they've still taken a big step back from last season

I suppose they are building their squad up with Borini and Assaidi looking likely to stay as well. I just think they have payed too much money for the players they have signed.

For me they should have spent big on a big name rather than on a host of decent PL players. I think they'll struggle in the CL.

What a crying shame it'd be if all these new signings fuck the team harmony up and they cascade back down into Europa league nothingness.
It'd be awful if that were to happen.
I promise I won't laugh when it happens, I'll just roll around on the floor pissing myself instead.

I think they're business has been pretty good actually, they were massivley lacking in depth last season and now they've got a decent size squad which they needed for the champions league. Markovic and Can are really good signings for the future but I still think they'll have an impact now, you can't grumble at the Lambert signing considering how much they paid, Lovren is slightly overpriced at 20m, but he should form a good partneship with Sakho. I think Lallana is way overpriced but he's still a good PL player and should improve them. If they sign a Striker, RB and LB, they'll go close again.

All decent players but were looking to consolidate whereas they're looking to progress in the CL. All decent players but I'm not sure they're good enough to get them far in the CL.

Of course he fucked it up they should have pissed the league but blew it big time! Chelsea at home Crystal Palace away! We improved our league position, relatively, just as much as they did so what's your point?

The only reason that nobody criticises Liverpool for trying to buy the league is is that they've comically spent ridiculously over the odds on countless players and failed to win the league.

All the top sides will strengthen and Suarez was Liverpool's key player. They will be battling Tottenham for 5th place.

Theyve swapped problems. Theyve got the depth they lacked last season but who is going to be their talisman and drag them through the tough games.

The media made little of this but they are always sensitive to Liverpool. If they had won it we'd never have heard the last of it. It was in their hands, they failed.

When I see stupid fees like this for a defender who has had one good season it does make me wonder how much in today's market Shawcross is worth!!
