Do Blackpool need a keeper ? He'd get plenty of shot stopping practice there

How longs it going to be before Jack gets pissed off with all this being farmed out on loan lark, and hands in a transfer request?

If the opportunity came along then to another Premiership team may be an option? Even loaned abroad.
I think it is important to keep him on our books

Begovic was always better, but we assumed he would've been sold by now. Hope he gets loaned.

Im surprised he hasn't already, wouldn't blame him at this stage I would, its not like he'd walk into a perm no 1 shirt is it, the same would happen unless he dropped down, he may as well stay here, I'm sure he knows how it is, if not, toodles.

I honestly thought you would sell Begovic and he would be your number 1? From what I've seen he's a brilliant shot and has the potential to be far better than Joe Hart. Sorry but he's a lot better than Hart. In past days Hart would never get near the England squad, sadly there is a dearth of decent English 'keepers.

Butland is definitely good enough to be number 1 for many prem teams

The thing I don't understand though is that if Butland is not out on loan, why is Sorensen ahead of him in the pecking order (ie. on the bench instead of him)? Yes, Sorro has been a fantastic servant for Stoke City FC, but I was watching the season review from last season and, in the games Sorro played, his reactions seemed to have disappeared TBH.

The Joe Hart who Diouf nutmeg'd? Talking to a few goalkeeper coaches I know they all say Hart is a shadow of his former self and has begun to regress. Doesn't command his box, punches away all the time, and distro is horrible.

I think it would better serve us if we had tbh, he needs the experience and if loaned to a Prem team we wouldn't be having to take the risk on him.

Everyone from 7th down is our rival, I don't see how we could. I think a loan to La Liga or the Bundesliga would be the better option. But I also think that we've left until now so we can recall him because we don't trust Tommy for the long term if Bego did get an injury like last season.

Forster. Smithies. Heaton. Ruddy. Butland. There's 6 off the top of my head. There are a few young lads, in a similar situation to Butland, which 'should' be household names in the next couple of years. We are obviously not talking about a plethora of talent but if you look hard enough and ignore the doom and gloom flying around about English players, there are some good uns'.

They are not the sort of standard that are anyway near being the keepers required at international. Butland is the future but the rest wouldn't get in the top five keepers in the Premier, never mind in the world. You've been starved of great English keepers, you can't recognise a good keeper. Look at the teams these keepers play for, for goodness sake.

Looks like Bolton are signing Paddy Kenny for the rest of the season - so they appear to be out of the running for a Butland loan.
His career limbo goes on.

Sorensen is a busted flush and if we had to rely on him I would be worried. I'm getting a bad feeling about this season.

Their young Real Madrid youth Mejias has been dropped for being shite, Konstantopolous is now #1. Butland could probably displace both.

Not that this is exactly our biggest issue at the moment, but........
It appeared Butland was effectively being excluded from the keeper shake-up early in the season as he was preparing to spend the majority of the season elsewhere picking up valuable game time, but if he isn't going on loan any time soon, is he going to start getting on the bench as back-up?
If Begovic got injured in the first minute of any game, presumably we'd want our next best keeper to come on - and *presumably* we see that as being Butland rather than Sorensen who is just holding the fort as very much the veteran No.3?
Butland's career is worryingly going absolutely nowhere.
