Hi
Wondering if anyone can help renewed mine and my sons season ticket at early bird stage. When on the phone to the call centre the advisor said don't throw away your current(2013-14) card as all games will get loaded on them
However this morning 2 new season cards came through the post?
Thanks in advance

I'd keep the old ones and the new ones - better safe than sorry!
As a matter of interest are the bar code numbers the same? If they are then there was no need for new cards.

It wouldn't be Stoke without a bit of confusion, eh?
Perhaps take both to the TO before KO on 16th August to verify which one's valid...

Both exactly the same only difference is the season digits on the front
Bit odd as the guy in the ticket office made a big deal about keeping the same card and make sure I don't throw it away...

Mine from last season doesn't have any season digits on the front? Did yours have any on last season's card?

I got a pack, expensively delivered via DPD, with a lot of air in it plus a voucher for ONE chance to get 2 x £5 tickets for a game ( not two games, sneaky one Stoke ) to be notified (doubtless a week before the game and probably against Burnley) plus a voucher for the club shop plus another pen and another key-ring to add to last years.
No season card though.......................

I've thrown mine and the families cards away from last season, hope this doesn't affect anything because we have new ones. Doesn't make sense to keep last seasons, does it?

I was under the impression that the games are loaded onto the old cards. Is this still the case?

I was under the impression that the games are loaded onto the old cards. Is this still the case? That is my understanding (and from a post above, the understanding of some of the club staff) - although this thread is confusing me more by the minute. EDIt: To be clear - the games are not "loaded" onto the cards. They are "loaded" onto the computer database and the computer system recognises who you are by the bar code on the card.

Hang on a minute. When I bought mine back in March I was told that you would use last season's card.
Is this still the case or have things changed and we have not been informed?

If you read the thread you will see that there are conflicting messages. Only the club can give us an answer, methinks. Whether they can be arsed to do so is another matter.

Clarity over ticketing, particularly electronic ticketing, does seem to be a bit of a blind spot for the club.
No way should we be debating whether or not last season's cards will work in 2014/15...

Called up a few days ago and asked where the new ones were and they said they would be arriving this week or next week Well that settles it I suppose. I still don't see WHY they need to send out new cards. If the bar code is the same then the old card should work just as well. I thought one reason for the card was to save the club money and not have to send ST cards out every season.

We were told the exact opposite. That this season's info would go on the same card as last season. So either the plans have changed, or confusion reigns at the SCFC ticket office. Either seems a likely scenario.

My understanding is if you've got the same seat the old card will be used . If you've moved -new card

Ticket bloke on Twatter put this the other day; Josh Whittaker-Vyse stokecity_joshw · Jul 21 2013/14 season card holders who are sitting in the same seat and the ageband is the same will use the same card as last year. #stokecity

Surely those with new cards can't all have changed seat or moved to another age band? EDIT: Bit of a shocker for those who have thrown their cards away! PS - a really cool idea would have been to print on the card that it should be retained season to season unless and until another card is issued.

My season card arrived today. Barcode number is NOT the same. Only difference to old card is the new card has my new seat number on it. I did a swap in the "swop window" in May or was it June? at the ticket office. So I suppose the new cards clarify which seat you're supposed to be in, which may be handy in case some one unwittingly sits in your seat Having said that, when swopping my seat, the ticket office guy said it'll be loaded onto my existing card. Be interesting to see if both sets of cards are valid Will be taking last seasons and this seasons new cards to the Villa match next month...

That suggests that the bar code relates to the seat number rather than to the customer themselves? But my last season's card shows my seat number so I think you are wrong about the new cards being any different.
