My Kia is due for both next week, its a 10 plate with the 7 year warranty still intact. I have to use a Kia dealer to do the service to keep in with my warranty but unsure if its best to do an MOT first or the service. Can only see two Kia dealers that do servicing in the area, Ken Jervis and BS Marson, anybody used them before for this sort of thing? Plus Im unsure if I should to both MOT and service with same firm, I know Ive got to do the service with one but can do the MOT anywhere aslong as they are VAT registered. Some help would be appreciated as dont want to be getting ripped off when its going to cost a fortune anyway

Having it serviced elsewhere shouldn't affect your warranty as long as the garage you use is vat registered and use genuine parts, that's what my main dealer told me anyway (fiat).

Theres a good place behind the old gilberts furniture store in hartshill. Been there before for tyres and my dad uses them. I'm sure I have to use a Kia dealer though

Providing they use genuine replacement parts and compatible oil you can use any garage mate. Get them to service it first and give it a "pre-MOT" inspection then get it tested is my advice.

Thanks for that, Ive looked them up and there prices are streets ahead of Ken Jervis! I've used them loads of times and never had a problem. Marsons are in between the two price wise and give good service.
