Watched it on iplayer last night. Really enjoyed it. Nello's story is Funny, Sad and inspiring all at the same time. Also evoked a few memories of what is still my favorite era as a Stoke fan. Nice to see Lou appear and add a few comments. Does anyone know if that was a true/ish reflection of how Neil came to be Stoke's kit man. A real insight into how times have changed, that Lou just met this disadvantaged bloke outside the ground saw his commitment and harnessed it giving him pride and purpose. Good times so much less bullshit than what seems to surround every aspect of life nowadys.

Some people have not quite appreciated that it's a drama based on a true story, not a documentary. So there is some dramatic licence, particularly on timing ( e.g Mary didn't die the day after the testimonial but several years later). The portrayal of how Neil came to be "taken on" is accurate, but the timing isn't - it didn't happen on Lou's first day. But that doesn't matter for the purpose of the story.

This is to let those based in the south east to know that the first showing of "Marvellous", the film about the life of Neil Baldwin, will be at 6.15pm on 8th September, at BFI Southbank, London. Although this is intended primarily for TV and film critics, there will be seats available for sale to the public. I understand that these will go on sale on the BFI website on 12 August. I don't know how many of these seats there are, or what the demand will be, but if you want to go, it might be prudent to book early. The main red carpet Premier will be later that week in Stoke, but unfortunately because of the numbers of official guests there can be no public sale for that. The date for its broadcast on BBC 2 has not yet been announced by the BBC. My guess is October or November. Hello Malcolm Sir, Do you happen to know at all if Tiger Aspect have any plans to release this on DVD at all?. Thank You

I think that's already the case, Dave. Doesn't it mean that he will also be entitled to drive a flock of sheep through the centre of Hanley on a Good Friday? He's probably already done that.

I thought he said " I'm not a m### I'm a registered clown" He did. That's what I heard - however RAF seemed so confident about what he heard that I've just replayed the segment relating to Neil's time as kit man to see if I had missed something - I can't find RAF's reference.

Mine was 'she tried to give me salad but she meant well' which being as I am a tad portly I'd love a T Shirt with that on it.

You can do it yourself courtesy of Cult Zero linkChoose your colour, enter your text and bob's your uncle. Apparently. Looks good. I'd settle for that on a mug for my morning coffee!

"Shooting script format!?!" You are such a lovey!!! Too right! He's even written to Tony Scholes to suggest that the club add a Stoke City cravat to the merchandise in the club shops.
