It looks as though Bojan will be competing with Ireland and Charlie for the advanced midfield position next season. Three is a crowd, and I'm not sure we have room to accommodate all of them in our squad. Clearly, Hughes fancies Ireland above Adam so I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him leave now this summer.
Shame really, he can be a match winner and a liability but I for one would be sad to see him leave.
Charlie for the chop??

If the discussion on the Bojan thread the other day is anything to go by, none of us really know where he's going to end up fitting in yet. I notice the official site describes him as a winger, for whatever that's worth. I wouldn't write off Adam just yet and I'm very interested in how we line up in the next few friendlies.

I still see Adam as a potential match winner on his day so I wouldn't rule him out just yet. I'm heading out for the next two friendlies and it's going to be interesting where bojan will play.

I like Charlie but I do watch him through my fingers. Always an incident waiting to happen even if it wasn't his fault sometimes.

If Adam was identified as a problem that needed solving above some others, then the manager has got that one wrong.

Nope.
Adam still has a part to play in my eyes.

I don't think Bojan and Adam compete for a position. But I do think Adam will leave this summer.

I hope Adam is the player to feed Diouf and Bojan, Bojan would look to be the "fox" in the box type we have been missing at least I hope he is.

The Barca fans on the forum someone linked to earlier said that his career would've gone better if he'd been played in his best position, which they thought was as a #9.

He was brilliant for us at times last season, but we played well without him at the end and he doesn't strike me as the kind of player who is happy to sit on the bench.

I think he could play at least two of the roles in a rigid Hughes 4231 perfectly well and offer more goals and assists than those currently in pole position mick. My personal reading of the situation is this hastens the departure of Crouch or Walters than Adam myself.

I still prefer him over Ireland but it's a tough call. Can't see Bojan playing that sort of role.

I agree but I think at home it might not be a bad team but away is where the changes would come. In a perfect world this is the team I would be inclined to try at home.

Somebody has to be leaving - we can't keep all these players happy, (even when Bojan has gone to Barnsley on loan - winky thingy)

It's more Walters and Odimwingie whose places are threatened by Bojan
Walters will be the one sacrificed

I was thinking the front 4 would be something along the lines of
________________________Diouf/Crouch
Arnie/Assiadi__________Adam/Ireland/Bojan_________Arnie/Bojan/Assiadi
I think Hughes likes the idea of those middle three being pretty interchangeable. I hope we don't get rid of charlie, I think he is one of those rare players who can change a game with a stroke of genius. (Ok genius maybe an exaggeration but still you get my point)

Walters or Crouch will be heading out before Adam, Ireland was good last year but he can be slow to shoot or make the killer pass, Adam just does it instinctively, he reminds me of Dave Brammer, but with better accuracy.

General opinion seems to be he will operate from the right hand side, which certainly looks good with Arnie on the left and Diouf through the middle.
Incredible when you think back to the days of Akinbiyi, Noel Williams, and Carl Asaba.
