I've loosely followed EPL for years and then last summer I decided to find a team to support. I had no interest in supporting a front runner who bought titles. The club had to be known for a physical style and passionate, borderline crazy, supporters.
Searching the internet Stoke City kept coming up. I began to research the club and watch videos of supporters and some old games. I was apprehensive with a new manager taking the helm and uncertain how the style would change, but watching videos of supporters singing, "Delilah" sold me.
When I found that my local club, Orlando City Lions, had some deep connections with Stoke City it just seemed destined to be and thus every Saturday and some Sundays last season was spent watching Stoke City matches on my laptop.
connections with Orlando City: Phil Rawlins, former Stoke Owner and current Orlando City President ( Mr Rawlins has taken OCSC from a third tier US side to a MLS side in a few shirt years) Adrian Heath Manager, former Stoke Player Son of former Manager Anthony Pulis plays for Orlando City Both often use 4-2-3-1 formation

Nope, definitely at least three of you. A friend of mine has been in Orlando for a few years now and has a lot to do with Rawlins & watches Orlando on a regular basis.

Welcome to the club! The people on here will make you feel at home! Its a good community on here, and any quetions will happily be answered. A quick forum heads up. 1. Hackett and SLP hate each other. Laugh as you watch them sling insults to each other. 2. When chugga goes to the MLS, he'll want your settee and will make a forum thread about it. That's it. Welcome aboard

When you consider the 1863 part of the badge, it makes us the 2nd oldest professional football club probably in the World. Put another way this was 18 years before the gunfight at the OK corral. I have not quite been following them for that long, but I am old enough to have seen the great team of the early 70's. The exciting part is that in my view Mark Hughes is building a squad which could be remembered in the same way, so you are joining at a great time. Enjoy the ride, and try and get to the Brit someday, not the biggest and most sophisticated stadium in the world, but on it's day, it's rocking.

Welcome aboard. Don't take any Brek Shea or GCam negativity to heart. If some people on here don't have something tangible to complain about they'll do their damnedest to find a whipping boy. Geoff seems to be it sometimes. Brek's just a talentless knob.

Consider this also about 1863 - it is the year when the Battle of Gettysburg was fought and the Gettysburg Address was made by Lincoln. There's a bit of historical resonance for our American friends to get their teeth into!

luckily NBC streams all of the games online. Wiziwig is a great site.
Any recommendations for podcasts or streaming radio shows for Stoke City news?
