Never understood this pure hatred towards Palacios. Under pulis he wasn't given the chance to play. Simple as, pulis loved Deano, Whelan, N'Zonzi etc too much to take them out. I dont remember him playing particularly poor when he DID play for us under Pulis. Even last season i thought he played quite well. But now we really do have a solid midfield. Its not his fault stoke overpaid for him. And im not surprised he has a desire to leave, wouldnt anyone else in his position? I can't speak for everyone else but I don't particularly 'like' him because he has basically fleeced us. I get he hasn't been played a whole lot when fit but that only adds fuel to the fire for me - we signed him 3 years ago and he wasn't interested in being fit for 2 of them, forget his dodgy knee. I know he's a 'nice guy' but for me at least, he's taken the piss a bit. He has happily sat back collecting his hefty wage (hefty for us at least) for 3 years and shown little desire to change the fact he wasn't playing regularly. He could have knocked on the managers door 18 months ago and requested a move, requested more game time, anything. He didn't and he hasn't - I don't like it. That's just my opinion.

He is not the manager, if anyone fleeced us, then whoever decided to invest so much money in him is the culprit, and the vitriol should be directed there. So many assumptions in your post, please back them up with facts not speculation. This reminds of the Daily Mail right wing agenda on people who are unemployed. They are all scroungers and not pulling their weight and don't deserve anything in life only derision. I've seen players put in a lot worse performances than him too.

Heard plenty of rumours re Wilson, nearly walked out of the first training session he took part in as he said it simply wasn't football, after his first injury he would be passed fit and make the match day squad only to pull up in the last session before a game claiming it had felt like it had gone again,by all accounts didn't want to play for Pulis.
Don't know how he's done with Mark but hasn't really made a mark last season ha he.

Particularly like the comparison with that hateful rag The Mail......for me, I agree, Palacios cannot be held to blame. More to do with Redknapp, TP and the transfer team, if blame is to be attached to anyone on this. Sure he's been very well paid for doing nothing much but that is modern football and the sickening greed in the game cannot be laid at Palacios's door.

Footballers are athletes these days, if generally speaking they appear to be displaying a bit of "extra padding" it would tend to suggest that their training regime at least, isn't up to scratch? I suppose the point that he's looked rather "half arsed" in a lot of games is a subjective, matter of opinion thing. The fact that he's been a waste of fucking money isn't.

SunWho knows what the truth is - but looks like the Palacios camp are understandably trying to let it be known that he didn't fail the medical.

Is your view of the Mail based on the fact that you read it every day? Or the assumption that you know all about its right wing agenda? Regarding Palacios, I don't think many (if any) of us thought he was a bad signing at the time he signed for us. He was a gamble (as all signings are). A gamble we thought might come off as it had with other players who had come to "the dogs' home". But it didn't.

I actually wanted him more than Crouch, but that was of course based on age and what they had done before! Still think he is better than many give him credit for, but obviously not good enough for TP or MLH.

One doesn't have to read The Mail every day to know that it is a jumped up tabloid with a right-wing agenda attempting to sound intelligent whilst fanning the flames of small-minded hatred................reading it once or twice and then walking past any news stand in the Country and seeing its subsequent headlines will demonstrate that fact to anyone with a modicum of intelligence.
