My cavalier king charles spaniel. Women will come and go but he has always been there except when he sees a cat then he's off like a loon lol. I dread the day when he isn't there. I just wish one would come....

Admittedly my approach work requires some serious fine tuning though lol.

Blackadder: Very well, I accept. A man may fight for many things: his country, his principles, his friends, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally I'd mud wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock, and a sack of French porn. You're on. Prince George: Hurrah!

It's so sad that the enfant terrible of British comedy has turned into the comedic equivalent of Elton John these days. Having said that, this is a great song by Elton John. Somehow it cropped up in a conversation between myself, Erik the bartender and a Virginian in Erik's Belgian Cafe just round the corner from us. We were arguing as to who was the best drummer - Ian Paice or John Bonham. I still say Ian Paice. Quite how we arrived at this will remain a mystery for all eternity.

I agree about Ian Paice .....but being a lover of Deep Purple I could be a little biased

It is impressive ....but I think that Paicey certainly has the edge on this comparison ......I suppose it will depend upon whether people are Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple orientated as to which they prefer ....I certainly fall into the latter category

It's a given fact that Ian Paice probably had smellier feet than John Bonham too......just a piece of Rock trivia I once happened to stumble across

I think it's clear from the video that Ian Paice is more technical. I was told once that the key to mastering the drums lies within learning the the rudiments. I think i'm right in saying that rudiments are a military thing, aren't they Bish?

The love of my life is beyond doubt Bingo ....my pet shrimp Oh, then there's my wife n kids Every time I put my hand into the water to do any work, cleaning etc, this little fellow jumps straight to my hand kicking and punching.....he's very territorial, he loves to jump on the coral beauty you see on the pic for a ride (cleaning his gills probably) He's always running across the corals to steal any leftover food ....fantastic character to watch with his big long beautiful whiskers Sad Maybe but, don't you agree he is sex on legs? Always thought there was something fishy about you cunty.

I'm not sure about the military association......but the definition of rudiments is roughly the basic or elementary concepts or skills of any given subject .....I suppose you could definately say that Ian Paice mastered them....you could say that of all the members of Deep Purple at that time , they were probably the finest group of Rock " musicians " ever to be in the same band ( IMHO) Unless the military thing is the basic or rudimentary training given to the armed forces ?

The use of pikes in close formation required a great deal of coordination. The sound of the tabor was used to set the tempo and communicate commands with distinct drumming patterns. These drumming patterns became the basis of the snare drum rudiments.
The first written rudiment goes back to the year 1612 in Basel, Switzerland. The cradle of rudimental drumming is said to be France, where professional drummers became part of the King's honour guard in the 17th and 18th centuries. The craft was perfected during the reign of Napoleon I. Le Rigodon is one of the cornerstones of modern rudimental drumming.
I thought it had something to do with the military, I remember my mate Dean who runs the drum school in Hanley, telling me this years ago.
