I have no idea, it was over who actually owned him or so says the person that told me. A club in Belgium thought they were owed a fee and we either thought that was bollocks or it wasn't for as much as they wanted.

He's had a bad injury, I'd like to say knee but I aren't sure. He's out for the season I think.

The U-18's beat Bolton 2-1, Ngoy with both of them. And Waring starts for Barnsley. How's Ngoy doing mate? Just scanned this thread and it seems like he's scored a few. How old is he and what group is he playing with? Is he a couple of years off Shenton in terms of progress, first team etc?

But he's banging them in, which is a good start. He's 17, so he's a first year scholar. I would say so but that's just from reading the odd bits and bobs from people, when you consider Shenton is the same age and is pretty much next in line for the bench for the first team. It's just good to finally see that he's playing because he's missed so much playing time.

What are your links with/to the academy Bayern? You seem pretty well informed and actually seem to take more of an interest in it than a recently departed, former employee who had a multi-million pound per year contract! :-)

I just find that side of the game interesting tbh, the whole youth development and how it can grow, I always have.

Haven't the under 18's beaten Everton today, who were playing very well?

Apparently so! Everton are second in our league. No idea what sort of side they put out though (ie if it had a load of younger lads in). Ours had a good mixture of first and second years from the look of it.

Evertons 'highly regarded' u18's have been playing for the u21's most of the season, from what I understand this Everton team was pretty much the one that's been playing most of the season with 3 u16s playing. 3-1 flattered Stoke a little, though they could have had another couple towards the end, that would have made it a real robbery!

That's the strapline from the Everton website. 8 of the side that played us beat Liverpool 5-0 the week before (including the keeper and back 4) and their "highly regarded" U-18's are second in the league!

Bump. N'Goy's on the bench for the U21's. A good sign? Would of thought so, he was that highly rated can see him with the U21 most of next season then out on loan or maybe with a cup call up. We need to get Ollie in for 5 or 10 in a prem game first too. And we will be able to see what Waring/Coban are doing long term too

The U-21's drew with Bolton 1-1 last night. The U-18's are currently beating Bolton 2-0. N'Goy and Jarvis with the goals and the official site are doing live updates!
