So far this summer we're potentially looking at:-
Verlinden (sp) for the u-18s
Two Blackpool lads for u-21s
Jack Harper and Molina potentially for the U-21s
The two Romanian Lads for U-18s and U-21s
Any more?
So far the recruit is looking very interesting and quite exciting.

No idea how good any of these new Academy recruits are But with the likes of Moha, Harper, Deaconu, Molina, Shenton, Lecygne, Skapetis, Telford, Waddington.... sounds like the u21 could at least be a team that has players we could see making the bench on occasion? In fact, some of that lot will struggle to start for the U21s (unless the plan is to send a few out on loan?) Is N'Goy U18 or U21 this year? And then potentially the other Romanian and the highly-rated Belgian in the U18s with a few other exotic unknowns (didn't we sign some 6' 5" Canadian defender a few months ago?) Bayern is really slacking with his squad updates Frankly, it's not good enough! |

Y eah my concern was regarding the numbers as well unless like you say we lose a couple of loans. Not sure how happy the Blackpool lads will be to play U21 games when they've played Championship football. Actually I'm not sure about Waddington but Telford figured in the Championship for a few games. You'd think we'd be giving some of these lads not necessarily assurances but some sort of carrot to get them to sign which would involve first team opportunities and the pedigree of some of them does point to fringe first team football. Do we know if Skapetis has recovered from his injury yet? |
