The amount of points they got suggests that they're one of the best teams to ever get promoted from the Championship.
Reading went up with 100+ points one year and finished in the top half of the Premiership the next season. Not saying Leicester will do that, but I'm sure they'll be competitive- as will Burnley.

The ones I've had the displeasure of knowing always seemed abit deluded thought they deserved to be in the top flight 4 FA Cup finals, 5 League Cup finals including 3 wins, and 47 seasons in the top flight would suggest they have as good, if not stronger, shout to be there than we do. how far do you want to go back? what sticks in my claw is that they are owned by thai owners who have pumped in millions when many thai people are struggling to feed themselves.

Fans go over the top in promotion shocker. Except we didn't when we came up did we? Most of us thought we would struggle to stay up and would have bitten anyone's hand off if they offered us 17th place. We had realistic expectations, whereas Lesta fans generally are a bunch of superior deluded pricks. I hope they beat Derby's record. BM

I know there are some City fans who think we will storm the Premier League, but most of us are much more realistic. The past ten years have been generally awful, so you surely can't blame us for celebrating the record-breaking season we've just had, can you? We'll undoubtedly find it hard going next year, but I think we have the set-up - core players, management team, physios etc, and owners - to do OK. A lot depends on which players sign new contracts, because we have a lot ending in June, as well as Nigel Pearson's. We've five or six who are really class players that will easily handle the Prem, and we will need them. Any way, it's good to be back. It's has been a long time.

Bit harsh there ode. we are owned by Peter Coates and his family, and there is mega poverty in parts of Stoke. Personally I don't see that where you come from and what poverty there is in that area dictates how you spend your money. Thai family that own Leicester, Also own King Power Duty Free Shops, employ 1000's of Thai people.

Im quite glad they have gone up, i see them as another team like us. Same sort of size, been right through the shit like we have and thanks to some investment have found their way back. If they think they can finish top 10, fair play to them, better than moaning and groaning about every little thing like we usually do when we get promoted lol

For me i dont begrudge them their happieness. As a club we have had a fine season, finished as the top team in the midlands, manure have been a good laugh, arse have collapsed, liverpool have all but failed and port vale have been the gift that keeps giving. Do we not have it in us to be a little humble to a team that were there the day we made it back in to the big time?

I know a couple of Leicester fans, and I'm pleased for them as mates. However...
Until the millions that their creditors were cheated out of as a result of Leicester's profligacy are repaid in full, they shouldn't be allowed in the Football League. Same goes for the all the others who've used administration as a way of wiping the slate clean, but Leicester were the trailblazers for this practice. When you're all square with everyone you owe, you can come back in. Harsh, draconian even, but it might help prevent some clubs from being so cavalier with imaginary money; the 10-point deduction is almost meaningless.

Based on their Cup performance at the Brit, they need a handful of experienced PL players right sharpish and Schmeichl had better hit the ground running - assuming he's half a good as his father.

Let the fans have their day, achieving promotion after a long absence is a brilliant feeling, and a great achievement for ANY club, you'd think we'd remember that.
I hope we are not going to turn into a club with twattish elitist fans who think we've a "right" to be in the prem, looking down on lower teams.
Let's remember where we came from, and allow these promoted clubs' fans their moment of great celebration (before we hopefully tonk their arses at the Brit next season)

That's nonsense. There were over 25 other clubs that went into adminstration before City were forced into it in 2002, and since then there have been more than 30 others: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administration_(British_football). The reasons Leicester went into administration are many, and few of them to be proud of, but it was not a way of "wiping the slate clean" in the way that you suggest. Administration is a way of keeping a business running as a going concern - that's why it was introduced in the first place. It is the creditors who agree to put the business into administration, and in City's case it was a process initiated by Eric Hall, who wanted the club to pay up Denis Wise's contract, despite the fact that he had been summarily dismissed for breaking the jaw of a sleeping team mate. Hall took City to the High Court and although he eventually lost his case, the administration went ahead. There is no obligation on the business to repay all of its creditors (if that were possible, the business wouldn't need administration in the first place) although in the case of Leicester City, the majority of creditors were repaid. That is more than can be said for most of the other clubs who have been put into administraton over the past 30 years. The idea that City somehow "cheated" was not mentioned at the time of the administration (unsurprisingly, given that it's not true), nor even when the club's promotion was assured at the end of that season. That only came about after Sheffield United (who finished third, more than ten points behind City) were beaten in the play-off finals, and their manager said that City should have been thrown out of the league, and Sheffield United promoted in their place. The manager in question was Neil Warnock, who was doing what he always does when his teams lose: blames everyone except himself. If you want to be a cheerleader for that poisonous cretin, be my guest. I have more self-respect.

To be honest, I am surprised that he has been offered a new three-year contract, but fortunately I'm not in charge. Some of the players who I think will really make a mark are Kasper Schmeichel, Richie De Laet, Liam Moore, Danny Drinkwater, Matty James, Riyad Mahrez, Anthony Knockaert and Jamie Vardy. They're all young and will take time to find their feet in the Premier League, but I think most, if not all of them, will do very well. We'll see.

I do try to keep my own comments moderate, unless I am talking about Notts Florist. Or Colin.

I'm sure we will never hear the truth of the matter. I'm not normally fond of conspiracy theories but the De Laet affair could change my mind!

We got De Laet and Matty James from Man U on the same day, a couple of months after we also signed Danny Drinkwater from them, and they've all done really well for us.
