Here's your chance to vote for the Oatcake Messageboard Stoke City Player of the Season 2013/14.
We've only included players who've made 12 or more appearances.

I thought Admin didn't approve of Polls on the main board? Bit unfair that Jones isn't on the ballot!

Our young Captain has been a rock this season on the pitch and apparently helped the newcomers settle in.

Shawcross, although Whelan has been superb as well.

I wish it worked on a point system and we all had 3 votes. One being 5 points, one being 3 points, one being 1 point. I wonder how it would look

It has to be Ryan.
He has had to cover CB with a new non CB partner in Wilson. And he has captained the side with a calm authority. He has been awesome.
The case could be made for others but to be honest whelan is most improved, and the others have been inconsistent. Not in a bad way but it's taken them games to show a great level and settle under Hughes.
I've discounted bego. He's had a great season. I prefer an outfield player but we have won more games and points through our outfield than him saving games than last year. A lot of games through good play he has had little to do.

Really wanted to vote for Whelan as I think he deserves more recognition than he gets, but I had to be honest and vote for Ryan.

No surprise that Shawcross is miles ahead.
Really has been a monster season for him, glad to see Whelan getting recognition too.

Well pleased that Ryan is leading as he played for the most part of the season without Huth. A splendid effort by Ryan, very well mannered, steers clear of the media with the opngoing stupidity of Arsenal et al.
A great effort and ever so positive. To think that he says he will learn from having been sent off is magnificent!

I voted for Whelan as an act of atonement. I've slagged him off so often I feel I owe him for the way he's played this season.
It'll also piss WD off if he wins.

Having been one of his biggest critics in the past, Glen Whelan has been transformed this season. In the role he is now playing he is as effective as anyone I have seen this Year. This has enabled N'Zonzi to get forward more, and added a effective layer of protection for the back four.

Whelan for me too. Shawcross was excellent, but Whelan's been like a different player this year, so went for him.

Glen Whelan.
Much as really rate many of our other players, I don't think anyone comes close.

Shawcross & whelan fully deserve to be where they are, but I've voted with my heart and picked Marko. I think the team has been a little flair starved since fuller left and Marko adds a 3rd dimension - that unpredictability is a pretty big weapon.
