..could Wilson be the answer at right back? I actually think he could after some games there!

I'm not convinced Huth walks back into the team. Hopefully we'll just buy a proper right back.

Hmmmmm, I'm not so sure, he was a bit off today, would prefer an actual right back, sod knows who though.

Not sure Cameron did a whole lot wrong today, weren't many questions asked of him granted, decent going forward though I thought.

Buy a proper right back. Some times the good ideas just leap out at you don't they?

I thought he made several wrong decisions even today, but that's my view of course! In the first half of the season I thought he was immense, but when the rest of the team seem to have improved a lot Cameron's form seems to have dipped quite a bit in my opinion!

I certainly think he could do a job at right-back, especially considering he was solid enough when Pulis played him on the left for 3 seasons, but, to be honest, i think we need an out an out right-back. Wilson would be functional there, but look at the difference between Wilson and Pieters at left back, particularly with regards to overlapping and putting in decent crosses.

Birmingham away on the league cup says no! He is too slow to play as a full back!

I think Wilson makes far too many mistakes at centre back, wouldn't be surprised if we saw very little of him next season. He's a great guy though, I'll never forget him sitting on the bench when he broke his leg. This was whilst players who didn't make the squad were running to their cars to get home.

I like Wilson a lot and yes if we were still playing the TP way I'd stick him at right back without hesitation. However he's not going to provide any of the attacking width currently expected from our full backs in our current style so it's a no for me.
Sign someone or stick with Geoff, as shakey as he's been lately.
I also wouldn't mind seeing us sign a somewhat skillful centre half.

Some of you have very short memories.
He's one of our best players! Thank god some of you have nothing to do with the day to day running of the club.

Not for me. The fact we haven't missed him much from January/February shows we could cope without him. He had a 3-4 month spell of giving stupid tackles away too frequently and being booked most games, as well as being caught out of position a few times. I think unless he makes a full recovery and comes back willing to fight for his place, we can and probably should pursue a new centre back to start alongside Ryan.

'Comes back willing to fight for his place' You are doubting his commitment ? He's one of the most determined, unselfish, hardest players I ever seen in a Stoke shirt! Please don't get carried away by today, or the last month or so. He's one of the best defenders at the club. All defenders are caught out sometimes, otherwise, a team would never concede. We could always play the five foot eight Muniesia, but we would concede many a goal against the likes of Chelsea, and the bigger built teams. Football fans, eh? Short memories, and fickle.

Why is Muniesa's height such an issue? I haven't seen him bitched about the pitch by anyone yet, and he did a good job against Adebayor of all players last week. I don't think it's fair that people keep bringing up the height thing as a disadvantage when it hasn't really affecting him in games so far. I'm not doubting Huth's commitment, I daresay I'm doubting his ability in a Hughes side with a more ball playing approach. But maybe it's just because I haven't seen him at his best, or even regular self, for over half a year. If he's back and solid as ever then superb. I just feel compared to say last summer that I wouldn't be too cut up if he left, which sounds fairly obvious on the face of it.

His height will be a huge issue against some of the bigger sides. (The nature of the position)
He's been great, when asked to fill in this season, but I see him more of a left back, going forward.
Huth will adapt, like Shawcross, and proved a vital member of the squad these last few years. Our centre back pairing of Huth and Shawcross are, and have been, one of the best in this division these last few seasons.
Wilson had adapted well, but lets not forget how important Huth has, and been.
It's great to see everything click, but lets not get ahead of ourselves of what we are up against next season.
We need players like Huth, both off and on the pitch .

His height hasn't been an issue against Carroll or Adebayor, in fact he was the first defender of ours to win a header against Carroll in the game!
I agree re Huth though, I think he will adapt.
The bigger problem will be him recovering from this injury.

Yup.
He's had some bad ones in the past at Chelsea.
I don't doubt he will come back from this one.
Loving the 'I heard from someone' bullshit, though.

Can't wait for Huthy to get back.
Wilson tries hard but doesn't cut the mustard more often than not.

Muniesa's height hasn't remotely been an issue so far. He patterns himself after Puyol, who similarly isn't the tallest but is hewn from granite.
