5 of us booked up with easyjet, gatwick to basel/mulhouse/freiburg airport. Fri morning til sunday night £110. Ive done the austria tours 7 times before (based in salzburg) and said I wouldnt do the village/training ground tours again for various reasons (why ive swerved the 1860, M'gladbach and shalke games). Freiburg away in there own stadium is a different story though and I was straight on it.

For anyone looking at the 1860 game on the 26th in Reit im Winkl, the nearest postcode is:
Festsaal Reit im Winkl Tiroler Straße 37 83242 Reit im Winkl Germany
Game looks to be taking place on the pitch behind it. Everything's along one main road in the town including hotels so it seems easy enough to find places to stay.
Likewise, the Schalke game in Kufstein is:
Grenzlandstadion
Untere Feldgasse 4
6330 Kufstein
Austria

Any news on Real Madrid friendly ? Looks like it was mistaken identity/wishful thinking by one of ours. Doesn't seem to be happening, Freiburg is the game on that date instead.

I'll be driving up that day from Udine, Italy then probably heading to Salzburg then Stuttgart a few days later. I plan on staying in that REIT em Witel town the night of he match if you fancy some post match pints in a local boozer.

If anyone is flying from Stansted to Baden Baden for the Freiburg game. If you are going to use the train to get to Freiburg you should pre book your tickets as a group as it makes it a lot cheaper. For four of us it cost 80 euros return as opposed to the cheapest return being 38 euros for one person. I used the web address below and they email you the tickets. www.bahn.com

You only need to book IC/ICE trains in advance otherwise the price is the price for all other trains (local-mid-distance). Some mid-distance go a long way. The other option if you plan to do all 3 games is to buy a single country interrail pass - it will be cheaper in the long run: www.interrail.eu/interrail-passes/one-country-pass/germanyIt provides total travel (including IC/ICE) for the day selected. For some of the games landing in Schiphol, Eindhoven or Maastrict are also an option and taking the train from there. Happy travels.

Not sure, looking at booking flights today or tomorrow, was looking at flights into basel and maybe staying there on the 8th and moving to Freiburg on the 9th and maybe back on the 10th ? What are others doing for this?

Careful with that though, Basel being in Switzerland means Swiss prices, 80 quid for a very ordinary hotel and beer 7 quid a pop. Stay just over the border and avoid Swizzerland.

Just a quick update and possible good news. SCFC Russia on Twitter have said that Russia Sports TV is showing coverage of two of Stoke's friendlies in Germany, which means that it's likely that there will be streams available for us all to watch!

Its an 8-8.5 hour drive doewn from Amsterdam so it will be a stay over somewhere - dont know where though. I just found out off the 'significant other half' that the motorway down to munich will be chocker this coming weekend so Im making a very early start. Im driving down at probably 3 or 4 in the morning, giving me some time to sink a few before the match.
