Just wondering if there would be a way for all us fan to put in a surgeston to the club about the problems of getting served for food and drink before the game a during half time inside the ground.
You all know what im on about everone just pushing forwad in a big mob with no queing or anything.
After going to both man u and cardiff away, it seems they have a solution to this problem, something so simple as having some railing to sort out a que and a stuward at the end telling u when its ur turn, simples , you get served in no time and no one gets miffed off by people pushing in.
Surely this could be done in a few days and costs fook all, any ideas of how this could be put forward to the club?

Go in the q railing stand. Long counter for food and two bars either end of the stand. Don't have much trouble in there.

The problem in the novus/Boothen is the concourse hasn't been built wide enough.
A good suggestion by someone was to build the stalls externally, then you'd have room for a queueing system. Also a couple of lager vending machines would help ease the drinks queue I reckon.

Buying a pint at half time in the Boothen is a nightmare at times. It's not so bad before the game, but on Saturday, me and my mate went down at bang on the whistle, we got served as the players were running back on the pitch and had to neck it.
At other grounds they pour say 50-60 pints a few minutes before half time which massively relieves the pressure and stops the mad rush build-up. Would this be such a bad idea? I know space is limited behind the bar but surely they could do this?

Vending machines would help - but is there an issue with U18's getting their hands on beer? Also noticed at Millenium Stadium, when they poured beer it was 6 pints at a time, not 1! Aren't the concessions run by an external company anyway?

Isn't a SURGE something we're trying to avoid?
Perhaps you could SUGGEST a solution.

I know space is limited behind the bar but surely they could do this? That`s a great idea and I cant see why they cant do such a thing. They do it everywhere else( sport, concerts etc. ), so why not at the Brit? It`s a win/win, because they would earn more money as well being capable of serving more people.

The Boothen concourse should be extended backwards onto the rear of the ground (where there is a lot of space!) and then they could turn the bar area into a hub in the centre, with lots of bar space for food and drink.
It would also make it a little more pleasant than it is, it really is the pits.
Outside they should also introduce railings to queue to get in, as from 2.40 onwards it resembles a scrum of people just queueing randomly wherever they feel like for their chosen turnstyle, and up to 3-4 different lines for the same gate which pisses people off - especially when the last minute crew turn up and basically just push in from the side.
Getting a beer in the Boothen at half time is just a swathe of sweaty blokes all pushing and cajoling to get to the front, then their mates spotting them and passing money over as they buys about 10 drinks - I have friends who go down on 30 mins just for a drink and miss 15 minutes of the game! I cant be arsed with it anymore and dont bother, although if I want a slash I am forced to go down early because having a piss is also like a warzone with folk pushing/squeezing together (not great after beers :-) ) as others push in - the concourse in general - bars, toilets etc - just wasnt designed to be full ever - toilets are the worst designed and thought out I have ever seen with small openings that people come in and out of!

What's happened to the bottle bars in the bookies area in the boothen ? sometimes there sometimes not that would mean a possible 2 more serving points !

One of the main problems at Stoke is our concourse is way to small to handle the amount of people the seating can hold

When people say get served externally they mean build an actual out house style building serving into the concourse, we have mentioned this for ages as Sunderland and a few others do it well, so when you walk around the ground it may look unsightly but once inside the ground it takes nothing off the floor space.

My iphone is completely useless between 2:40 & 5:20 on a saturday. It's like there's a satelite block around the ground.

With it so poor you have the biggest problem of about 3000 people leaving their seat between 30 and 45 minutes to try beat the queue.

We had this discussion on here a week or so ago and I said the Seddon wouldn't be wide enough. And having walked through there on Saturday, it definitely wouldn't for me. I could barely get through as it was!

Couple of things for me: 1. Pricing policy where everything costs a multiple of either 50p or a pound so there is no messing about with change from the till. 2. Employee staff with bar experience in busy places and reduce the number of staff who have no urgency about them and think they are strolling along on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Just don't buy the shit. The beer is over priced and like piss anyway. Why people would want to miss upto 15 mins of a game to by that shit is beyond me. It's like the smoking. If you can't do without for 90 minutes there is something wrong.
