It's obvious his salary expectations have gone up due to being in the Premier League for a couple of years and seeing what his colleagues at Liverpool and Stoke are getting paid.
20k per week is pretty much squad filler salary these days (Shotton is on this for instance). So I can understand hes not happy on 21k which reportedly he is on at Liverpool.
45k is for serious first-teamers
60k for your star player at a club the size of ours.
Assaidi should be on around 35k-40k at Stoke compared to what the others are on

It couldn't just be that these things take time and people are panicking over nothing? I know it'd be the first ever time, but you never know? Luckilly our two other exciting signings this summer, Diouf and Bojan, were confirmed within seconds of our interest being made public knowledge. Imagine if we'd had to spend an entire summer reading how greedy these players are, based on nothing but guesswork..... I don't fully understand what you're saying there mate, are you saying that the signings of both Diouf & Bojan were sorted out within seconds of the clubs interest being made public knowledge? ie. Media, fans etc got wind that we were after Diouf and within seconds he was confirmed as a Stoke City player? If so then....i'm even more confused. It was public knowledge that we were interested in Diouf in June/July 2013. The Bojan deal was much quicker by comparison, i think it was July 11th that is was public knowledge and he signed on 22nd July. Neither are "confirmed within seconds of our interest being made public knowledge" Unless i'm reading what you're saying all wrong in which case apologies for being thick. I think he was being sarcastic.....

It's all in the emoticons Or you could write :- "THIS IS SARCASM" for the really stupid That would help people like me The problem is twofold....people say stupid things and are actually serious, meaning that it's hard to distinguish between sarcasm and idiocy. Also, people are stupid, like me, and get confused easily.

Just because you get confused doesn't mean you're stupid, it just means you're getting old and useless like me. I'm so confused I can't even decide which emoticon would be appropriate for this post.....

I'd say £30K per week take it or leave it! Seems a tad harsh, how do you expect the modern footballer to rub along on a measly 30k? Austerity measures gone mad!

Look elsewhere then Stoke. He'd be ok off the bench when a game is stretched...nothing more. He is no great shakes.

Those signings took a while (although Bojan's really shouldn't have been seen as a long time, it was only a week or two) and people were frothing at the mouth. Where did all the speculation and panic get them other than being in a position where they had slagged off a new Stoke player? People need to calm down a bit!

Though I did think my second sentenceare the sarcasm obvious?
In future I'll use a winky face to make sure I'm not taken seriously when I say 'Thank God we were never this impatient with Pulis' if we don't beat Villa and the message board starts to melt down.

Does anyone know if he's definitely currently fit?
He's not in the 33 in America.
And all the Liverpool youth squads are on a fortnight-long camp in Holland and he hasn't figured there either.
He's either injured, or he's been wiped from the map.

The longer this saga continues , the more likely we seem determined to get him. I'm not sure anymore if he's got the right attitude . Greed seems to be the ruling factor in all of this. I beginning to think that Redmond might be a better option.

Im thinking the same thing mumf. The big bonus as well being that Redmond is english which helps with the home-grown quota now that we are fishing more and more in the foreign market.

With the players we've recently signed, surely he should force a permanent deal through with us now? I rate Assaidi very much.
Liverpool have been selling at inflated prices all summer. I mean Borini at 14mill? Come on...
MH is a magician when it comes to unearthing talent and attracting the big names.

Don't get me wrong ossie is a fantastic player but for me with the quality we have already signed Redmond would be my option , but like I always say that's just my opinion.
