I have had no interest in England football team for years, I won't be cheering them on in this world cup or any other tournament, I simply cannot bring myself to cheer on the likes of Rooney, Gerrard, Lennon, Walcott, Young and the rest of the tossers who i despise throughout the football season.
Also quite glad that Shawcross is being overlooked by england as i do not want him associated with that load of crap, selfish on my part as i'm pretty sure Shawcross would relish another chance to play for England.

As an English born Kiwi Stoke fan, I will naturally be supporting England, USA, Bosnia, and any team playing against Australia.

If you live abroad perhaps you have forgot your loyalties. Just what about this country warrants 'loyalty' yop?

...Because I'm f*cked if i want to be seen supporting a National team populated with the cheats and shiseters I have to watch my club combat against week in week out in the Prem. No doubt the press will be rallying round the population's non-football watching sheep as usual, to "Get behind Woy's heroes in Brazil!". Well f*ck that! I am sick of the likes of Rose, Young, Sterling et al diving, moaning and conning their way to stardom at the expense of honesty and passion. The Stars and Stripes will be going up in the front room and I might invest in a Bosnia flag too - because they are the only teams that have any "interest" in the World Cup for me at the minute. What a prick!

I can just about understand an English football fan not being that arsed about watching the national team. I will never be able to get my head around an English football fan wanting their national side to lose and also supporting other teams in the process? What the fuck is going on with people on about putting USA flags up and looking forward to England getting beat, because they can't wait to see us fail due to the fact that they don't like some of the players!!

Why do i support England. Er because im fucking English. Simple. Why do i support stoke cus im from stoke. Why do people support man u/liverpool if they are not from that area because they are nobs. Why do people born in England support another nation because they have no loyalty. Its treason to me.

You're starting to sound like a typical red-top reading, warm beer swilling, white van-driving, Vindalooooo, little-Englander. Personally I don't want England to lose - but I'm not that arsed if they don't. It's more like treason for the national team to be populated with over-rated, ego massaged mediocre cheats who copy all the bad habits of "Johnny Foreigner". I want my national team to rise above that - show some honesty, honour and integrity and play the game (that WE invented) in the manner in which it was intended. If they can't do that, then can you blame anyone for wanting to take in interest in the teams that some of OUR CLUB's players play for just to have some spectator stake in the World Cup? Right - I'm off for a splendidly British steak pie (baked in the Lake District) washed down with a bottle of flag-waving Trooper ale (brewed in Stockport) - if that's British enough?

Yes you will never catch a Bosnian, Serbian a Croat or anyone from that region diving or cheating! What a great choice! The point, Mark, is that I expect more from both my club and my national team. In the case of my club, I think I largely get to see a group of players who rise above some of the antics I'm talking about - and I think several thousand other people would agree, given the reaction to some of Danny Rose's cheating and over-dramatisation yesterday. If my National team can't play in the same manner then I may as well follow other teams that have some, if not more relevance to me as a Stoke Supporter. As I've said before - I don't want England to fail - I'm just not bothered if they do. And if they're going to fail - surely it's better to do so playing in a manner that makes us proud and not sinking to the tactics we see weekly in the League?

No, I watched Stoke far more when we were shit. I had a season ticket from the 98/99 season for about 9 seasons. Now I work and live abroad so have much less chance to get to The Brit. I've seen us lost 2-0 down to Rochdale within 4 minutes on a cold February night in the AWS. I was there at the following games after the 0-7 and 0-8 defeats. I saw all of the 4-goal drubbings under Little. All the Premier League highs I've missed so I'm the opposite of a fair-weather supporter. You sound like a Jonah! Please stay away from the Brit.

Bollocks, if England made it to the final (good joke i know) you can't honestly say you wouldn't be supporting the nation.

I am a proud stokie and englader but I just cant get excited by this current crop of internationals and a useless tosser as manager. imo it is the worst England team since we didn't qualify for the usa yonks ago. anybody putting money on England to get past the group stages needs their bumps feeling. I will follow the stoke players and hope they do well.
