I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Spurs fans since they ripped the big old wooden gates..at the back of the old Stoke End..off, to get at the Stoke fans outside. And they always came in the Boothen to exchange pleasantries before being thrown out.
Nevertheless. .times have changed and Thought last season was a nice touch from them singing Happy Birthday to us to mark our 125th season ( albeit after Adam had been sent off & they had scored).
To mark this spirit of cooperation wouldn't it be fitting if both sets of supporters sang 'Lets all do the Wenger' and 'stand up if you hate Arsenal'
Even MOTD couldn't ignore that..
;-)

Please not the Wenger. Fucking brilliant the first time, pretty funny the next, but now runs the risk of being utterly cringeworthy.

Stoke fans ripping the piss out of Wenger is always an enjoyable sight. I'm all for it.

Perhaps we should arrange to meet for tea and petit fours before the game, then hold hands as we skip down to the ground together?

I can see the idea hasn't met with universal approval then . ;-)
I suppose Lets All Do The Wenger might get a bit overdone..a bit like 'Hitler Is A Spurs Fan' on youtube...very funny the first time (after they lost at Stoke in our first Premiership season)

Funny what you recall; my first memory of the Victoria Ground in 1976 is Spurs fans running for their lives across the overflow graveyard on their way back to a welcoming comittee at the station!!!

I'm not at all enamoured with the Tottenhamsters, they're Southern for a start and in the unreasonable world of domestic football that's enough to fill me with hostility.

Yeah, but the second part of this story is that, me being from and living in Waltham Cross at the time, I had to travel home on the train with some very pissed off Spurs fans!!

I was sitting in the west stand upper for this gane & had a clear view of the Spurs fans singing this (twice) and they were applauding while singing. Quite clearly not a piss take.

Now you are just confusing matters Most Londoners dont really know what defines a 'cockney'. It used to be Londoners born in the brown area, ie, within the sound of Bow Bells but that was before the advent of traffic noise.
