The football we’re now playing, the signings we’ve made and the team were fielding? I have to say I was a bit apprehensive when we appointed Hughes but I was always going to give him a fair crack of the whip and I’m glad he has justified his appointment, a decent season with some brilliant results some very good football on show and not as many spankings as I first feared. Please no references to our previous manager let’s keep this thread on topic heh? Gouranga.

do you think hughes would have kept palace up ? Do you think Hughes will help to push us on? Surely that's the only relevant question.

Yes, very satisfied. I thought we might get as high as 14th or 13th (in other words where we finished up last season) but I'd have settled for 17th providing I saw progress on the pitch. Well we've seen progress on the pitch, a more attractive style of football and we are in with a good chance of a top half finish.
And all this has been achieved by spending the square root of bugger all.
9/10 for me - and I've only really deducted the single point for the Guidetti affair, which I still can't fathom out and which probably cost us the chance of getting Ince on loan.

After his "problems" at QPR it's understandable that there would doubts but he' got us safe with minimal investment. He has proved the point that decent players can be brought in from abroad for less than you'd spend on a British equivalent. He's still got a job on to clear out the deadwood but we can look forward to next season with some optimism.

Where would Ince have played? Probably would have taken Arnie's place, a player whose form has ignited our season. Also, Ince is struggling to get into the Palace side. I'd rather not have him or his meddling father here to be honest.

And looking where Ince is currently not getting any game time would he have made any difference anyway, we needed a different strike option and Guidetti gave us that at the time, admittedly it hasn't really worked out but that's the gamble you take sometimes and on the balance of things we may have been lucky not to have signed Ince. Gouranga.

Difficult to see what anyone could be unhappy about. If we get 50 points, only allow 2 home defeats and finish 10th or better, it will be impossible not to rate him 10|10. Looking forwards to next season already as well as the transfer window (enjoy the pizza)

I'd have liked to see Wingie play in the centre with Couch rather more than he has done and Ince, as a goal scoring winger would have enabled us to move Wingie inside. And I still can't see the point in signing Guidetti. I could have seen the point if we had played him as sub regularly to get him fit and then see what he could do with the odd start. As it is no one, not even Hughes, has any idea if Guidetti can cut the mustard in the Prem if/when he is fit - and that is the minimum I would want from the loan of a young player.

Very happy.
He's dealt with every major issue and produced a team playing a decent brand of footy with heart and passion.
Just as importantly the fans seem united and behind him.
Very, very promising.

Last season part of me couldn't wait for the season to end and id not felt like that ever in all the years I've been following this great club. This season i don't want too finish!! Been an absolute pleasure to watch this season and unlike last season i never felt worried about going down. I had my doubts like a lot of others but he has done a superb job and managed to put his own stamp on the team without destroying everything the previous manager created. I only see good times ahead under LMH and long may it continue!!

Extremely happy, we look to be pushing towards our highest ever premier points tally with little spent, and on the whole the same squad as last year with a bit of balance added.
Hughes in my opinion has been a revelation this year and has achieved much more than I thought he would. Well done Hughsey, 8/10 keep improving the away performances and finally get the squad to acknowledge the fact they're allowed to have a backbone away from home as well as at home and you'll be up there as on of our best managers ever. (Given a few years before anyone comes on an gets all pissy knickers)
