It has to be said, regardless of personal preferences, Liverpool are brilliant.

Sterling has improved so much this second half of the season. Has to start in brazil for me.

Was just going to post exactly the same mate. Sterling has to be one of the first names on the team sheet - no doubt.

Liverpool are amazing going forward, but has a team so weak at the back ever won the premier league before? Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Everton, Man Utd, Palace and Hull have all have better defences this season

How deep is Gerrard playing? He's playing as a third CB.

How deep is Gerrard playing? He's not playing as a box to box midfielder anymore and the only goals he seems to score nowadays are penalties, he's superb in the holding role though and Liverpool don't really need him attacking like he used to, I'm not sure he fits into their new dynamic pacey attack anyway.

Gerrard has become a better player now his engine is a bit worn down. Now he holds his position with discipline so when he breaks forward it has good impact. Before he used to be everywhere insisting on doing everything and sometimes he was just sticking his nose in other peoples business and it actually intimidated his teammates at times.

Oh absolutely, I was just pointing out that he's playing even deeper today than he has been of late, as scfcno1 said above, he's virtually playing as a third centre back at times.
Liverpool aren't playing a strict 3-5-2 though, it's very fluid with the formation morphing all the time.

Love him or hate him, he is a rare commodity in today's game - a one club stalwart...

I always refer back to when ryan was first called up to the England squad just after the ramsey incident. Tone thanked one player in particular for putting an arm around ryan and looking after him, steven gerrard.
Don't think he was even captain then was he?

Serves Liverpool right for trying to be something they aren't. They thought they could just coast to victory and save energy. The game was there for them to wrap up.
Got step it back up now.
