Or more importantly how many cliches they can dish out in 30 seconds.
"Tough place to go to" "Know what you are going to get" "Big physical team" "They can pass it a bit too"
Zzzzzzzz

Does anyone else get a little frisson of pride at that closing image of the opening credits that shows a 1930s programme of Stoke v Arsenal, with Stan on the cover? Sort of underlines our heritage as a regular part of the top flight, the home of one of the world's first superstars, and recognition that MOTD values the modern version of that particular fixture as one that they always relish.

Yes we are the oldest club in the Premier League by some distance and it always fills me with pride to know that we were playing football long before most of the bigger clubs were shitting their metaphorical nappies.
Spurs played well today but I think we can take them next week as they look susceptible at the back.

Can't understand why Campbell wasn't booked for the dive in the penalty area in the second half. The minute Webb decides it isn't a penalty, surely he has to produce a yellow?

Probably mate, but only because he didn't actually see the match and just watched the highlights and because of the teams, just assumed it was a stinker.
I can't believe they never mentioned Bego's amazing saves, and they reckon that cardiff keeper and lloris keepers of the season.
I feel like they just don't watch any of Stoke's games, Lloris has looked shite in comparison everytime i've seen spurs.

Just tuned in for about 2 minutes to see the second half of our game and that's all it took to remind me why I don't watch MOTD.
Turned it off and made me think 'What was the fucking point in that?'

His attempts at coming for crosses were laughable. He took a step forwards then backwards then forwards then backwards - no idea. When Assaidi was clean through Marshall just collapsed on the floor giving Assaidi 90% of the goal to shoot at. Dreadful miss!

Assaidi gave Marshall "the eyes" and he gambled and got his reward. Ozzie should still have scored mind you. Marshall also made a very decent save from Odemwingie. It wouldn't surprise me if he was still a Premier League goalkeeper next season.

Why does Andy Carroll think that any right minded referee would believe that the tiny little nudges that he sometimes receives are sufficient to knock over a 6'4 25 stone man?

The art of goalkeeping is all about dominating your area as Mark agreed last night (and he knows a few things about keeping). I thought Marshall was very poor in that respect, Dave. He was hesitant and had little control of his defenders. He has great reflexes but weaknesses in other areas of goalkeeping. BTW did you see further calls for a knighthood for TP on the BBC website?

Their impression of our game today didn't seem right though. Rarely does. That title sequence is the only bit I properly focus on. I tend to drift off a bit after that...

Maybe because it worked for Odenwinge today Still think Campbell should have had a 2nd penalty now you have seen it back on MOTD? In fairness no. He got that one right. I was wrong on that one Can't believe Alan Hansen though. Two penalties, disallowed goal, woodwork hit three times, some very good saves and he calls it a stinker?? If that had been a game involving the 'big boys' he probably would have said how good it was.
