Just thought I'd mention a proper "old school" away following today.
From minute one, when a superb (properly paced and in unison) Delilah set the tone, the support was absolutely superb.
Loud, proud and at times, very witty. At last the Asmir Begovic song caught on and it sounded terrific.
Best away following of the season and a fine example of how good our support can be at times.

Excellent post mate
That atmosphere was electric at times and if Assaidi had scored it would of been carnage in that away end
Proper Stoke

Home fans did nothing at all, especially in the first half. They were spectacularly shit. Thought we were good.

Just got home. Have a headache. Had a great day and met some really sound supporters. Good away day. Half time was brilliant....... "he scores goals, he scores goals Odemwingie!"

Their supporters sounded flat, like they're well resigned to their fate. Conversely, you could hear our supporters loud and clear throughout.

Well done, this as the NBC "prime time EPL" fixture and our away support represented us with honor. Sounded loud and looked like 4,000 nutters having a great day out on the edge of the empire. Now that i know a member of Alsager Town's all time 11 was there (Bayern OC) it all makes sense.

When we scored early on in the 2nd half and got some momentum going on the pitch, I thought the atmosphere was good. There are a lot of nerves around the ground but that's understandable. The singing and chanting was completely different and much better in the first half of the season for sure. You were over the far end and I didn't hear you much so maybe it's the same for you with us. Crystal Palace easily had the loudest and most fervent support of any team at our stadium this season.

I'm afraid you give me too much credit, I'm basing it on the TV! Perhaps I'm being a bit nostalgic, but when we were really up against it the crowd were right there from the off. Our game against Man City (before they were good) is a great example of that.

It's what happens when you have a manager prepared to attack teams away from home.

It sounded very loud on the tele. What sort of reception did Kenwyne get? He was booed when he came on and there were a couple of new songs belted out,the gist of which was that we swapped Odemwingie for a useless cunt. So as WD says, no reaction really! BM
