Leaving penalty decisions aside, for the amount of dominance we had that was 2 points lost for me, not 1 gained - we finished really strong, if we'd had enother 10 mins we'd have been fine, and for me the subs were right if lte in the day - but honestly it shouldn't have taken that long to be hammering in at Cardiff. Maybe we're just a bit tired and short of the extra sharpness we need. Do think Leslie could have sent us out more assertive though.
7 from me

Agree about the subs being too late. Maybe would have changed it to walters for Wingie. Or even Cr uch.

Yeah, subs were 10 > 15 mins too late, but we bossed the game for good spells and with better finishing would of won comfortably. 7.5

7 from me. Can't argue with the starting 11, nor with the subs - although the two in the second half were probably 15 minutes late.
I think I'd have taken a draw if it had been offered before kick off. As the Chelsea/Sunderland result (and the Southampton/Cardiff result last week) showed, the teams in the relegation zone are often capable of performances against the odds.

If assaidi would have taken his simple chance those 7/10 marks would have been 9s and 10s!
Yet again I really can't fault sparky today, right team, correct subs and we should have won.

7 I gave a 9 last week, when we deserved a win and just managed to scrape one. So a 7 this week when we again deserved to win, but failed to stick away a second goal. I think we were guilty of some beach football, yesterday and it is telling that Baaadiff couldn't exploit that. Starting 11 was picking itself (time for a couple of changes in the next one??) and with Assa back, so are the subs. Too-late subs does seem to be a bit of a Hughesy thing, so I'll forgive him, away from home, for not going for the win earlier. A point is still the requirement away from the Brit and that's another collected. I do think that has ruled out an, unlikely as it was, 8th place finish (5 pts from 3 games) but - thanks to Swansea - we remain in with a very decent chance of 9th. We look a solid and technically adept team, easily holding its own in mid table. It is truly amazing what a bit of confidence and adherence to a plan can bring about.

Starting from a neutral 5:
+1 For the set up +1 For dominating the ball +1 For Having a go away from home +1 For finding a half decent role for Walters late on
-1 For bringing off Arnie (Should have been Crouch for me) -1 For the slow start to the second half (Feel as though he allowed the players to switch off)
Therefore a positive 7 for another good showing, keep it up Sparky.

8. Picked the right team. Arnautovic gets back on d way better than assaidi so I understand the late sub. Walters for ireland was fair, maybe in for crouch would have been better, but altogether good picks. Stoke should've pulled out a win regardless of calls. We are the better side.

7. Not a bad day at the office but completely unfathomable substitution policy. Again.

6 once again a "lesser " team bossed us around. As soon as another team tries to take us out of our game, we look very lost and the incessant passes in our own half start. Odemwingie, for the the 3rd game seemed to have been told to never cross is own half way line. Crouch has now returned to being the lonel ystriker for the 3rd straight game as he spent most of the game dragging 3 defenders around with him. For the 3rd straight game we were trying to defend so quickly we never got to attack. His team looked like our previous manager's teams again as they tried not to lose instead of trying to win !

7* We only managed to look decent in short spells having said that it was never going to be an easy game. Once again Hughes could have made his substitutions earlier which might have maximised their impact. He does this on a regular basis and it pisses me off!
