Please delete if this is common knowledge but did other stokies know there was a book written about Paul's battles by his daughters? It's a journey that follows Paul's battles on the field aswell as his battle with brain cancer. I didn't know there was a book out so have just ordered it so thought I'd just share this in case any others didn't know.

Hi! Played football with Paul for about 5 or 6 Seasons for a team called Audley Aces. Was a great player who always worked hard and played with a smile. Would always speak to his mum and Dad at away matches when he was playing for Stoke. They would always watch from the away end and are lovely people. Will be buying the book and looking forward to reading it.

Thank you so much for this post - only just seen it. What did you all think of 'Daddy'? X Read it whilst on holiday in Portugal this year. Thought it was fantastically written. You should be proud of yourselves. I couldn't put it down once I started it. And in two weeks 4 of us in the villa read it. And all four never had a dry eye after finishing it. Loved your dad as a footballer, a brilliant honest pro who gave me my first taste of wembley!

Laura/Amy you are a credit to your dad who would be so proud of you. The reason I loved your dad was because he played for Stoke the way I and thousands of others would have, if we had the talent, always giving one hundred and ten per cent. Thank you for an inspiring book which, I hope, helped you through the hard times.

It is so lovely to read all of these comments... it's true - Dad gave one hundred and ten percent on the football field and on the battlefield with cancer... he always faced every situation with a positive mental attitude; it was in his wishes that we write the book and so we hope that he is proud of his Ware girls XXX

Just ordered mine tonight. Will be good to read while on holiday. Will bring back great memories, including your dad's goal away at Peterborough (what a great goal and memory). But above all else the book is about a great Stoke player and a true Stoke hero... Good luck x
