Not quite Bish, although Sir Francis Bacon is the attributable source for my favourite quotation of all time. "There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion."

I have always subscribed to " Knowledge is power " a sentiment that is correct in whichever way that that you consider it

One of the few things I agreed with Mrs Thatcher about was her opinion of Francis Bacon..'That man who paints those dreadful pictures'....
I've never liked Bacon or Lucien Freuds surrealist/cubist stuff..but they sell for tens of millions. .so what do I know?
