Isn't he just Bish? That's what I thought. Had you heard of him before? I hadn't but the name sounds vaguely familiar...

Saw him at the vicky hall with 10 years after , must say it was crap show . It was all about him and how fast he could play . Along with a pretty poor collection of material

Along with a pretty poor collection of material Funnily enough, I did mention the fact that i'd never heard of the c**t and that perhaps he may have been a one trick pony, to my American friend. He strongly disagreed with my supposition. Bizzarrely, it was at that exact same moment that I realised I was in fact, correctomundo.

Maybe there's a bit of mind confusion between Albert Lee, Alvin Lee and Arthur Lee **************... There always was for me. My vote is for Arthur: Cool as a cucumber, even latterly, I got a bit obsessive going to Love gigs just before he died. Crewe Limelight was a highlight... though I did meet him in the carpark before a gig at Birmingham Academy.. he was late, but not rushing.

I really like the first Love album. Had it on vinyl in fact. It is a cracker.

Hey **************, I'm gobsmacked that you didn't already know this.
I reckon you and I are about a similar age (I was born in December 65) and when we were kids we used to watch Woodstock (stoned off our tits) regular circa 80/81.
Mate if you haven't ever watched Woodstock, you've been missing out for years ...
Haven't got a link for the whole movie, but a few highlights as well as Alvin Lee:

There's a fantastic 'out takes'/ Director's Cut kind of Woodstock thing with... Richie Havens, a full{ish} Ravi Shankar set, a brilliant/incongrous Incredible String Band interlude {landing in a helicopter in Medieval get-up}, Canned Heat etc on it... I havn't watched it for yonks, but I've a feeling it is lost to my non-returnable lending library..

Yup, hands up ya got me! There's an obvious hole in my knowledge. Let's just hope you get everything right in future...

Jesus wept man I wasn't questioning your knowledge (why would I?) - reread the post ... I was suggesting that if you didn't know it, then you probably don't know the Woodstock movie and it's something I think you'd enjoy and you should check out, it was just heads up that's all.

I know mate, sorry if I came across a bit pointy. First season in 14 years that I haven't seen a single game.

Hopefully you'll get over next season and there won't be any storms around this time!

Thanks Paul. It was touch and go, but the old dear gets the sons protection, every time. I can't actually believe the match was played tbh.
